Another OG Opener Party is in the books!!! My boat partner Randy Pafford was able to receive the coveted jacket once again for the 3rd time since it was introduced for an award. Pat aka "The Tiger King" is no stranger these fish as this is his 5th tiger while fishing with me. Cloudy and rainy conditions were in our favor today and fishing will continue to get better this fall. Thanks to FINS Braids for making the 130 # XS Big Game in Orange. And also Jt's Baitntackle for having awesome suckers for our outing!!

Rounding out the last two sessions of Camp Deerhorn Inc. for Father and son outings. Having been taught by my Dad how to musky fish and passing that on to others in my boat is truly what I enjoy about guiding. Long time friend and tournament partner Jarrod Haenel and his son Dayton jumped in the boat early this morning. His son Dayton Haenel had the hot hand going 1 for 3 with Musky Innovations Double Dawg that I gave him to throw. Dayton is no stranger to the musky world as he works at Rollie & Helen's Musky Shop when he's not attending college. Here's to July and warmer weather coming.

After chasing muskies this past week David decided he want to have a better shot at bending the rod on some Smallies. Things started off a little sluggish and he picked up some bigger fish. We had a double and mine ended up being a walleye and within feet of my fish he set the hook into a good fish. Sometimes musky don't want the full meal and just a snack!
