Sometimes serving our unhoused community gets a little wearing. Fundraising, praying, conversing and teaching the community we serve can overfill our tanks.
Having tough conversations - and - joyous ones, too. Being the disciplinary & motivator; putting in piles and piles of hours while sometimes wondering if any positive impact has been achieved.
Our volunteer board puts in thousands of hours every year to be sure our agency thrives & continues into the next 15 years.
Our staff quietly & very steadily show up and lovingly care for our residents. Compassion fatigue can be the real deal.
And our community? Well my goodness- you NEVER let us forget our value in this community.
Recently, we received a little slice of joy - reminding us that even on the tough days - TOGETHER we’re making an impactful difference on many lives.
Worth a share - so YOU know, YOU are too. ♥️✝️ Thank you!
PS! We invite you to be apart of our mission: join our board, volunteer at our fundraisers, or provide a financial gift - every ounce helps. ♥️
More pictures to come…. But here’s a few to share one of our most favorite fundraising events!
The 2026 15th Annual Bill Miller Memorial Golf Scramble had a couple little bumps in the road. A first year for a venue change and some support changes simply, as with any event created opportunity for value added.
Every year - we remember Bill’s commitment to the mission and show up. Every year - we say, thank you, Bill, for providing GREAT weather!
Pinewood Country Club outdid themselves in service! The event was so smooth! As always, thank you Kyle! These events would not have success without your expertise! Grateful.
To our NATH Board Members & Fundraising Committee. You.Are.Incredible. You show up. You are committed to the mission. You are always present. (Even when a trial or two are presented.) All hands on deck never has to be said - you just know when it’s necessary. The event’s success is directly a result of your commitment to your neighbors and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you!
To our Frederick Place staff: Thank you for showing up every.single.moment. This last week has been tricky. And you prove over and over and over that you can be counted on. God is good!
To our Rhinelander/Oneida EMS teams: THANK YOU! Mixed in our last week we’ve had fundraising efforts, with a very full house & a few situations requiring your immediate assistance. With fail -you are there immediately upon our request. We’re so very grateful!
OUR community rocks! We serve together! Thank you!

Incredible! It was an incredible night yesterday! A steady stream of supporters continued to walk through the door at Culver’s and we couldn’t be more grateful.
The Culver’s Team were welcoming and were in steady hustle mode. Their kindness to the “volunteer runners” was so noticably genuine.
Our supporters: your care and love for our volunteers, staff, & residents is wildly impressive. We feel your care for us - and we’re so very grateful.
To Culver’s: thank you for not being ‘just another restaurant’ on the block. Your generosity & care for your community does not go unnoticed. We had so much fun last night!
Thank you for such a lovely evening all in support of our community funded homeless shelter.
Up next! Bill Miller Memorial Golf Scramble! We’ve still got space! Call 715-369-9777 to get your team registered!

Today was bittersweet for Frederick Place!
After nearly 3 years of service as a Case Manager at Frederick Place, Alec Klabunde passed his house key to another staff member with a ‘see ya around’. Alec started at Frederick Place on overnights in October 2023, and would from time to time pick up day shifts.
His fellow staff members are sad to see him leave, yet, also very excited for his new career beginnings.
Alec is one of our several college students who appreciated the flexibility of employment at Frederick Place, enjoyed (*most days) working with our residents, and made an incredible impact on nearly 300 lives during his time at Frederick Place.
Staff appreciated his thoughtful leadership and approach when working with residents. Residents appreciated the steady encouragement & accountability he provided.
Alec is entering the workforce in his chosen field of study… He’ll be local, so if you see him about, please thank him for his dedicated service to our Northwoods’ Unhoused Neighbors.
Are you a college student or retiree? Consider joining us for our evening shifts. It’s an opportunity to connect with humans at their most vulnerability while truly impacting and changing lives.
Alec’s final testimony shared when suggested he should consider the field of human services, “I’ve been able to make a difference in my time at Frederick Place, while it’s time for me to grow in my career of choice, it was truly rewarding.”
Thank you, Alec! We’re going to miss you!
