My brother is getting married!! I'm so excited for him, and even more excited by the fact that It's going to be in Florida. On the beach. Far, far away from the snow in my driveway waiting to be shoveled. *dances excitedly*

Looking for the best wedding cake in Southeast Idaho? is my all-time favorite cake expert! I have tried many, MANY cakes and have never encountered anything better. Want a cake that's beautiful, doesn't sag or fall over all day, is delicious, and melt-in-your-mouth moist? Contact Paisley Cakes. Seriously. They're THE BEST!

SHOULD I DO A SEPERATE BRIDAL/FORMAL SESSION?
I always recommend doing a separate bridal/formal shoot, preferably the day before the wedding! Why?
-We can control the lighting and the weather, so we know that regardless of when, where, or what the weather is on your wedding day, your photos will be flawless
-More time, less stress. when a seperate shoot is scheduled, you don't have to worry about being late to or missing anything on your wedding day. You'll have more time to enjoy your fiance, family, and friends on your special day and you won't look as stressed in your photos!
-No onlookers. A formal session is done with just you, your fiance, and me, the photographer! You won't have to worry about feeling awkward while well-meaning family members follow you around shouting posing suggestions and pointing their phones at you.
The wedding day is about celebrating the two of you. Give yourself the opportunity to do just that without feeling like you have to cram everything into one, exhausting day!

So, I made a mistake and went to Kauai in the middle of November. WHY was it a mistake, you ask? Because I had just spent September and October letting my body acclimate to Idaho's chilly weather, only to have it completely undone in a week by letting myself get used to Kauai's 75-degree paradise. now I'm back, and although it's only 35 degrees here (which is considered by us locals to be warm) I'm FREEZING! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Winters in Idaho can get pretty gloomy. There's usually a lot of cloud cover and lots of snow! But sometimes, the light peaks out from the clouds and creates something magical, like bright orange mountains!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Life is like that too. Sometimes it seems like there's no end to the doom and gloom around us. But sometimes, we get a little glimmer of light and happiness that breaks through the gloom, no matter if it's as simple as a text from a friend you haven't seen in a while, a really yummy treat, or the fact that you didn't get a parking ticket when you parked too long in a timed spot! Don't forget to when they happen and remember those happy glimmers on the gloomiest of days!
