Vegan cookies at Reston Town Center that actually taste better than the real thing 🍪
Midnight Treats landed on the RTC pavilion and it’s worth knowing about. They specialize in large-format vegan cookies with half the calories of the other big cookie spots in the area. The taste will catch you off guard.
We grabbed four on our visit: double chocolate, classic chocolate chip, marshmallow, and a cinnamon roll cookie that Graham was not willing to share. They’re lighter than they look, which means you can actually enjoy one without the afternoon regret.

The location makes a lot of sense once you’ve been. Right on the pavilion, so it pairs well with a summer concert or a lap around the ice rink come winter. They also serve dirty sodas if you want to turn it into a full stop. Parking is easy in the RTC garage and you’re steps away.

NH 44 Brewing Company in Herndon is serving Indian fusion food and craft beer brewed in-house 🍕
This one is hard to put in a box. The name comes from National Highway 44, one of the longest roads in India, and the whole concept carries that same thread of bringing different things together. The beer is brewed on-site with Indian-inspired ingredients, so the pours taste like nothing else in the area. We tried the chicken tikka pizza and the spicy fries, and both were worth ordering again.
This is inside Arrowbrook Centre off Centreville Road, which keeps becoming more of a destination with every new opening. 🍺
Hours are Tuesday through Friday 5 to 10 PM, and Saturday and Sunday noon to 10 PM. Worth checking their Instagram before you go since hours can shift at a newer spot.

Reston’s summer kickoff just got foamier. 🌊 Aquapoolooza is coming to Lake Newport Pool on Friday, June 19 from 3–6 p.m., with foam cannon fun, giant inflatables, poolside games, tie-dye crafts, prizes, music, food, and plenty of ways for families to splash into summer.
The event is free for RA members and Recreation Pass holders, $25 for non-pass holder adults ages 12+, and free for kids under 3. Who’s ready for a pool party?
