Always a special moment when we receive feedback like this from one of our clients. Great job Adam and everyone else at Rhino FPE who goes above and beyond for all of our clients needs!
Fire Prevention Week 2020
This year’s FPW campaign, “Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen!” works to educate everyone about the simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves, and those around them, safe in the kitchen.
Did you know?
Cooking is the #1 cause of home fires and home fire injuries. Unattended cooking is the leading cause of fires in the kitchen.

World Rhino Day is celebrated on September 22!
In honor of our namesake, Rhino Fire Protection Engineering has made a donation to the World Wildlife Fund (https://www.worldwildlife.org/) to support their mission of “ensuring the world’s most iconic species, including tigers, rhinos, and elephants, are secured and recovering in the wild.”
Fun facts about the rhinoceros:
1. 3 species of Rhinos have 2 horns: The Black, White and Sumatran and the White Indian and Javan rhinos have just 1 horn.
2. A rhino’s horn is made from keratin – the same thing that our fingernails are made of!
3. A group of rhinos is called a CRASH.
4. Rhinos are herbivores... they go for plants and fruits.
5. Legend has it that Rhinos would charge toward fires to stomp the fiery threat out to their homes!

In honor of National Intern Day, we want to recognize our favorite (and only) intern, Harris Sorkin! Harris is a senior at Maryland University studying Fire Protection Engineering. His tenure is coming to an end at Rhino tomorrow and we would like to thank him for all of his hard work and his upbeat personality. Good luck this year and we wish nothing but the best for you!

A huge congratulations to one of our fire protection engineers, David Escalante, for recently receiving his Maryland PE license! We are very proud of your hard work in obtaining the engineering profession's highest standard of competence, and look forward to all of your future accomplishments!
