What do you call a factory that makes average products? A satisfactory.

Happy Father’s Day to the dads who refuse to settle for just "satisfactory." Thank you for leading with integrity, keeping us laughing, and showing us what real leadership looks like.

On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to deliver news that should have arrived years prior. Major General Gordon Granger read General Order No. 3, officially enforcing the Emancipation Proclamation and signaling freedom for the last enslaved African Americans in the United States, two and a half years after the proclamation was originally signed.

Juneteenth, also celebrated as Jubilee Day or Freedom Day, is a vital piece of our shared history. It is a day to honor the extraordinary resilience, culture, and enduring contributions of Black Americans, while recognizing the continuous journey toward true equality and justice.

As our team steps away tomorrow to observe the holiday, we are taking time to reflect, listen, and learn. Wishing a meaningful Juneteenth to our customers, colleagues, partners, and community.

What happens when the federal HR leaders implementing a structural transition are the exact ones impacted? That's the paradox of the new Schedule Policy/Career classification.

Happy ! Today, we’re celebrating our favorite four-legged teammate and the undisputed MVP of our travels, Goldie! 🐾

Goldie has been racking up the miles lately, joining the team for events across the country. From checking out the equipment and Army vehicles at Ft. Riley, KS to stops in Michigan, West Virginia, D.C., and Texas, Goldie has been everywhere.

It’s been a busy few weeks, but she isn't slowing down yet—she’s packing her bags for the AGAUS Summer Conference in New Orleans next week! 🎷

Will you be in NOLA? Keep an eye out for the GKG team (and maybe a Goldie sighting) and come say hello!

📸 Have you spotted Goldie on the road? Drop your photos in the comments below—we’d love to see her adventures through your lens!

Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸
Today marks the anniversary of the 1777 Flag Resolution, where the Second Continental Congress first defined the "Stars and Stripes." The original design with thirteen alternating red and white stripes with thirteen stars in a blue field was created to represent a new constellation of states.

While the flag has evolved to include 50 stars, it intentionally keeps those thirteen stripes to honor our original roots. Though the design is centuries old, it wasn't until President Woodrow Wilson’s 1916 proclamation and an act of Congress in 1949 that June 14th was officially established as National Flag Day.

It's a perfect day to reflect on our shared history and the enduring ideals this symbol represents.

Happy 251st Birthday to the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸
As the nation gears up to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary, it’s the perfect time to remember a defining piece of history: without the birth of the Army, there wouldn’t be a nation to celebrate. Established on June 14, 1775, more than a year before the Declaration of Independence was even signed, the Army stepped up first to pave the way for American freedom.

For 251 years, what began as a brave group of citizen-soldiers has stood as the world’s premier land force, always ready to defend liberty and respond to crises at home and abroad.

At GKG, we are profoundly honored to work alongside many Army veterans on our team, including those who are currently deployed. Your leadership, dedication, and continued selfless service strengthen our mission every single day.

Thank you for 251 years of standing the watch! 🫡

Programs create pathways, but people build bridges. The P3 program is a massive success because of the dedicated Army Reserve Employment Specialists (ARES) driving the mission forward. 🇺🇸

Our geographically dispersed ARES team members serve as the primary point of contact for individual Soldiers, , and family members. From one-on-one career counseling and translating military occupational specialties (MOS) into civilian terms, to interview coaching and coordinating credentialing programs, they do the heavy lifting.

Our team is honored to provide the ARES personnel who execute this vital mission on the ground every single day!

Today, we pause to honor the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their selflessness is the foundation of the daily freedoms we enjoy, and we hold their memory in the highest regard.

"These quiet grounds remind us with pride of our obligation and our opportunity... Our obligation is to give voice to the fallen, honor them, and share their stories of sacrifice and heroism." — Dr. Ash Carter, 25th U.S. Secretary of Defense

On this Memorial Day, we stand in deep gratitude with the military families and veterans in our community who carry this legacy forward every single day.
