Not every black fish trip is a home run but with angry seas and colder waters still managed to get a few roosters & hand full of shorts to pass the time. Was really happy with the feel and action of the Seeker NE wrecker rod, 

SEEKER WRECKER ROD.
If you’re a fan of the old school Lamiglas 1143, 1083m parabolic bend , this rod blanks constructed using S glass on the top section, blending graphite in the back half to reduce weight. The blank is modeled after the RG XC733 same bend same action just a bit longer. Rod has a great bend that shuts off softly 6-8” above fore grip with no mushy butt section
This is a quick build on prototype for me to test out in the spring season. The final rod being rolled in USA, length 7’10”, sinker up to 10 oz, root beer brown color.

Finished up this beautiful Seeker inshore Lt. stablized box elder and flor. Grade cork , all fuji components, nice little jellyfish dec. wrap

Don’t think I ever posted finished rod, UC 800 mega. Turned out pretty nice grips Birch bark , cotton wood and honey comb hybrid, all fuji components 

Got a few SEEKER INSHORE LT. Rod blanks the other day. Anyone who knows this blank will tell you how well suited it is for most of the NE target fisheries. Stripers, sea bass,fluke,blackfish. If your in the market for something built let me know, I have a few build spots open & these blanks usually go pretty fast.

Fuji black Alconite guides ( spiral wrapped)
Burnt cork grips, length 16”rear split with 1/4” cork tape between to keep it looking fresh and safe from rod holders.

Starting the glassing process on this bad ass united composite tog shocker rod, for my personal collection. Another Coat of epoxy or two then this closet queen gets put away 

Feeling crabby ?

Really fun collaboration build for me. Working with another builder who has taught me so much about the craft and always giving me solid advice with the business aspect of rod building. Billy Vivona did an awesome job building the grips. I basically just glued everything together and tried to make it not suck.
