Has M.A.M.A.S. impacted you or your family?
Whether we supported you through a miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, pregnancy after loss, or simply helped you feel a little less alone during one of the hardest seasons of your life, we would love to hear from you. And this isn’t just for the mamas we’ve directly supported! If you’ve worked with M.A.M.A.S., partnered with us, donated, volunteered, sponsored an event, done business with us, or collaborated with the organization in any way, we would love to hear about your experience too.
Brylea is currently working on a little secret project for M.A.M.A.S. and would love to include words and experiences from the families who have been impacted by this community.
If you feel comfortable sharing, you can:
🤍 Leave M.A.M.A.S. a review
🤍 Share a message, experience, or favorite memory in the comments
🤍 Tell us about a resource, support box, event, connection, or moment that made a difference for you
🤍 Share a little about your loss and how M.A.M.A.S. supported you afterward
If you would rather remain completely anonymous, please message the M.A.M.A.S. page privately. Your name does not have to be shared—we simply want to hear your story and what this organization has meant to you.
Every message means more than you know. M.A.M.A.S. exists because no mother should have to walk through loss alone, and hearing how this community has impacted you helps us continue growing, advocating, and reaching the next mama who needs us.
Thank you for trusting us with your babies, your stories, and your hearts.
And as for the secret project… you’ll just have to wait a little longer.

M.A.M.A.S. x Rooted Wellness
We are so excited to share a new partnership with Rooted Wellness—one that feels incredibly aligned with the heart of M.A.M.A.S. and the women we serve.
After miscarriage or stillbirth, one of the hardest things many of us face is the question: Why?
Why did this happen?
Is there something going on that hasn’t been found?
Is there anything we should look into before trying again?
And why does it sometimes feel like we’re expected to simply move forward without answers?
That is why we are so grateful to connect our M.A.M.A.S. community with Jessica Maez, PA-C, RD, founder of Rooted Wellness.
Jessica is an integrative and functional medicine practitioner who works with women experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss, secondary or unexplained infertility, and complex reproductive health concerns.
But this work is also deeply personal to her.
Jessica has experienced recurrent pregnancy loss and secondary infertility herself. She knows what it feels like to desperately search for answers and wonder whether something is being missed. Through her own journey, she was able to identify and address underlying contributors to her fertility struggles and has since carried three healthy pregnancies.
At Rooted Wellness, Jessica takes a whole-body, root-cause approach to reproductive health. Depending on each woman’s individual history, evaluation may include areas such as:
🌿 Hormonal and progesterone health
🌿 Thyroid and metabolic function
🌿 Inflammation and immune regulation
🌿 Nutritional and biochemical factors
🌿 Gut and microbiome health
🌿 Structural and reproductive concerns
🌿 Other areas that may be contributing to reproductive health
Her work can include comprehensive diagnostic testing, imaging, referrals to specialists when appropriate, and helping women understand which findings may actually be meaningful to their individual situation.
Rooted Wellness also offers progesterone management and emergency progesterone services for appropriate patients when progesterone support is clinically indicated.
For our loss moms, we know this journey isn’t always simply about getting pregnant again.
Sometimes it’s about wanting someone to look deeper.
It’s wanting to understand your body.
It’s wanting to know whether there are questions that haven’t been asked yet.
And after experiencing a loss that made so much feel outside of your control, it’s wanting to walk into the future with as much information and support as possible.
M.A.M.A.S. exists to make sure women don’t have to navigate life after loss alone. Partnering with organizations and providers who understand the complexity of pregnancy loss allows us to continue building a stronger network of resources for the families we serve.
We are incredibly thankful to have Rooted Wellness as part of that network.
If you’ve experienced recurrent pregnancy loss, are struggling to conceive again, or have been told your infertility is “unexplained,” we encourage you to learn more about Rooted Wellness and the resources Jessica provides.
Every woman’s situation is different, and evaluation or treatment recommendations will vary. Rooted Wellness works alongside appropriate OB/GYN, reproductive endocrinology, maternal-fetal medicine, and other specialty care when indicated.
M.A.M.A.S. is growing—and we are preparing for what comes next.
Over the past two years, M.A.M.A.S. has grown from a deeply personal mission into an organization reaching families, building community partnerships, expanding into new areas, and creating meaningful support for families navigating pregnancy and infant loss.
And we are still growing.
As our reach has expanded, so has the need for our services. We have reached an exciting point in our development where the demand for M.A.M.A.S. is becoming greater than what can sustainably be managed by one person.
This is not a story of slowing down. It is a story of growth requiring infrastructure.
Much of M.A.M.A.S. has been built and operated by our founder on a volunteer basis—from fundraising, outreach and partnerships to family support, events, content, resources, volunteer coordination, and organizational development.
That foundation has allowed us to accomplish so much.
Now, we are intentionally looking toward the next stage.
Our long-term vision includes expanding into additional communities, strengthening partnerships with hospitals and healthcare professionals, hosting retreats for loss mothers, developing a couples conference, launching a M.A.M.A.S. podcast, creating additional educational and grief resources, pursuing public speaking and media opportunities, and continuing to advocate for compassionate support following pregnancy and infant loss.
To accomplish that responsibly, the infrastructure behind our mission must grow alongside the mission itself.
We are seeking stronger community and healthcare partnerships, committed volunteers, monthly donors, corporate sponsors, speaking and media opportunities, and connections with individuals and organizations who can help us expand our reach.
If you believe in the work M.A.M.A.S. is doing, you can help us enter this next chapter.
Introduce us to a healthcare professional or organization. Invite us to speak. Recommend M.A.M.A.S. for a podcast or interview. Connect us with a potential corporate partner. Become a recurring donor. Volunteer your professional skills. Share our mission with someone who needs to know we exist.
M.A.M.A.S. is not at a plateau. We are growing—and our greatest challenge now is ensuring our capacity grows with us.
We are incredibly proud of what has been built over the past two years, but we believe this is only the beginning.
The vision is bigger.
The reach is expanding.
And we are ready to build the foundation that allows M.A.M.A.S. to serve more families for years to come.

What It Can Take Just to Get to 20 Weeks
Twenty weeks.
For many pregnancies, it’s the halfway point. The anatomy scan. The point where the bump is obvious, the baby is moving, and maybe you finally let yourself start imagining the nursery.
But for some women, 20 weeks is something they have fought with everything they have just to reach.
One of our M.A.M.A.S. recently shared what it has taken for her to get here.
She has endured six pregnancies and twelve doctors.
Thousands of doses of vaginal progesterone — at one point taking it more than eight times a day. When her body began having allergic reactions to the available options, her medication had to be specially compounded.
Months of bed rest.
IV therapy.
IV nutrition and fluids.
Iron transfusions.
Severe hypoglycemia requiring a continuous glucose monitor.
Hyperemesis.
Multiple allergic reactions.
A relapse of mast cell activation syndrome.
More antihistamines than she can count.
Constant blood draws and weekly scans.
She has spent hours having serial labs drawn because her progesterone levels could fall again within an hour of a dose.
And then there is the part we don’t talk about nearly enough:
the financial cost of desperately trying to bring a living baby home.
Specialists. Medications. Compounding pharmacies. Testing. Scans. Infusions. Travel. Missed work. Hospital visits.
She doesn’t have health insurance.
Her family is now facing the possibility of losing their home.
And still, when she talks about this pregnancy, the thing that matters most is:
She’s healthy. She’s still here. We made it another day.
This mama asked to remain anonymous, and we will always protect that. But she allowed us to share pieces of her story because people need to understand what pregnancy can look like behind closed doors.
And while her circumstances are uniquely hers, the fight isn’t unique to her.
This is what so many women quietly go through.
Some of us inject medications into our bodies every day just for the chance to become pregnant.
Some spend thousands on fertility treatments.
Some take progesterone and aspirin and blood thinners.
Some live appointment to appointment.
Some spend months on bed rest.
Some drive hours to specialists.
Some know their HCG and progesterone numbers better than they know the date.
Some check the toilet paper every single time they use the bathroom.
Some hold their breath before every ultrasound.
Some don’t announce because they’ve had to un-announce before.
Some don’t buy anything because the thought of coming home without a baby again is unbearable.
Some have lost one baby.
Some have lost six.
Some have nearly lost themselves trying to bring one home.
And then the world sees a pregnancy announcement, a growing belly or eventually a healthy baby and says,
“Congratulations!”
They don’t see everything it took to get there.
This is why pregnancy and infant loss awareness matters.
This is why pregnancy after loss support matters.
This is why we have to stop assuming pregnancy is an easy, carefree season simply because a baby is currently growing.
For some mothers, pregnancy is beautiful.
For some, it is terrifying.
And for many of us, it is both.
Today, one of our moms is 20 weeks pregnant.
Halfway.
But instead of counting down to her due date, she’s praying for viability. Then another week. And another.
So we’re celebrating 20 weeks.
Not because the fear suddenly disappears at 20 weeks.
But because when you’ve fought this hard for your baby, every single day they’re still here is worth celebrating.
This is the side of motherhood people don’t always see.
And these are the mothers M.A.M.A.S. exists for. 🤍

Sometimes, grief looks like this.
A family standing together.
Holding the children they can.
Missing the ones they can’t.
Whether your baby was here for moments, months, or only in your dreams, the love you have for them doesn’t disappear. Love doesn’t end because a life was brief.
At M.A.M.A.S., we believe every baby matters.
Every parent matters.
And every family’s story deserves to be met with compassion, not silence.
If you’re carrying the weight of loss today, we hope this reminds you of one simple truth:
You are not alone.
There is a community here that sees you, remembers your baby, and walks beside you through every season of grief.
No matter how many years have passed.
No matter how your story began.
No matter what your family looks like today.
You belong here.
In memory of every baby gone too soon, and in honor of every parent who continues to love them every single day.

A message from our founder, Brylea
Tonight, while watching Reminders of Him, one scene brought words to feelings I have carried for years.
A mother gets to meet her daughter for the very first time and simply says, “I’m your mommy.”
That moment hit me deeply.
After losing three babies, I have often struggled to explain the hope I carry alongside my grief. I do not just grieve pregnancies. I grieve children I loved, imagined, and still carry with me every day.
For me personally, faith has been what helps me keep moving forward. It does not erase the pain, but it reminds me that grief and hope can exist at the same time.
That is something we want every family connected to M.A.M.A.S. to know.
However you process your loss, whatever you believe, and wherever you are in your grief, you are welcome here.
You are not “too emotional.”
You are not grieving for too long.
You are not wrong for wondering who your baby would have become.
Your baby mattered.
Your motherhood matters.
And you should never have to carry this alone.
M.A.M.A.S. exists to support families after miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and pregnancy after loss with compassion, community, and understanding.
Tonight, I was reminded once again why this mission matters so much.
For me, I am choosing to live in faith through grief.
For you, that may look different.
But whatever it looks like, we are here to walk beside you.
🤍

Mothers After Miscarriage Advocacy & Support
Today, we invite you to leave a 🤍 in the comments—not just in memory of babies gone too soon, but in support of the mothers and fathers who carry them in their hearts every single day. Your heart is a simple reminder that they are seen, their babies are remembered, and they are never alone.

There are moments that remind us exactly why M.A.M.A.S. exists.
One of our M.A.M.A.S. families could really use our community right now.
This sweet mama was pregnant with twin girls and unexpectedly had to deliver at just 24 weeks due to both babies’ heart rates becoming unstable. Tragically, one of the twins passed away shortly after birth. Her surviving daughter, Sapphire, has spent the last four months fighting in the NICU, over an hour and a half from their home.
While navigating unimaginable grief, this family has also been balancing two older children at home, a dad working full-time, and the constant challenge of traveling back and forth to the NICU. It hasn’t been the journey they ever imagined.
The wonderful news is that Sapphire is expected to come home in early August! Because so much of the last four months has been spent simply surviving, the family hasn’t had much opportunity to prepare for bringing their miracle home.
If you feel led to help, we would love to bless this family.
We are accepting:
🩷 Preemie & newborn clothing
🩷 Bottles and feeding supplies
🩷 Diapers & wipes
🩷 Baby care items
🩷 Gift cards to help with travel expenses, gas, and essentials
🩷 Gently used baby items in good condition
🩷 Comfort items for all family members
If you’d like to donate, please contact Brylea directly. She will coordinate collecting and delivering everything to the family.
The family has graciously allowed us to share a photo of their sweet little fighter. Born at just 24 weeks, Sapphire has already overcome more than most of us can imagine, and we are so excited for the day she finally gets to go home.
Brylea is also working closely with the family to put together an Amazon wishlist and a special care package, which we’ll share as soon as it’s ready.
This is the heart behind M.A.M.A.S.—walking alongside families through unimaginable loss, celebrating every milestone, and reminding them they never have to carry these burdens alone.
Thank you for helping us love this family well.

This is what it looks like when a community truly shows up. 🤍
M.A.M.A.S. had a goal of placing 100 books into the hands of loss moms who need encouragement, understanding, and hope. We shared that need with our community, and once again, people stepped up in the most beautiful way.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Beauty + Wellness Co. 100 copies were fully funded. Then, through additional support from local friends and business partners, we were able to order a total of 120 copies.
To every person who donated, shared, encouraged, or continues to support our mission — thank you. You are helping grieving mothers feel seen, loved, and not alone in some of their darkest moments.
Thank you for always taking care of our M.A.M.A.S. 🤍
