Well, this has got to be the prettiest way to start a new school year that I can think of. I am grateful for a great summer and I’m excited about an awesome fall. Tomorrow I start my first year as a middle school band and orchestra director. Here goes nothing!

Summer, where have you gone? It’s been a real one and I’m always looking forward to more with these beautiful people that I love.

Yesterday was Gabriel’s birthday. This dude has gone from being a little peanut on an ultrasound screen to being an awesome, talented, creative, silly, super smart nine-year-old boy. I love you, Son.
