Our first event of the season is happening Saturday June 20th at 11am at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd (357 Clay St.)

These events are always hilarious and uplifting. We hope to see you there!

During worship on March 8, Pastor Scott showed a segment of a video from the North Carolina ELCA Synod called "Seriously?" which shares experiences of women in ministry. Male colleagues read comments which female clergy have heard from church members and some male clergy. Check out the whole video here.

Eternal God, whose steadfast love never ends, we ask that you look upon the nations now engaged in war and hasten the day of peace. Look in mercy on those exposed to peril, conflict, sickness, and death; and show compassion to the dying. In your good providence, remove all causes and occasions of war. Incline the hearts of all people to follow the path to peace and concord, that war may cease and the day of reconciliation may come quickly, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Good Shepherd friends took a snowshoe hike to Chickadee Ridge on a beautiful sunny day. Thanks be to God for the wonder of Lake Tahoe and the joy to live here.
