Kiwanis Bike Program
Volunteers needed!
Kiwanis Bike Program, a project of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Sparks, focuses on youth by hosting camps, clubs, clinics and individual education and donating over 600 bikes per year to schools and youth organizations. Our programs focus on Serving the Children of the World through teaching young people, repairing bikes for reuse and giving over 1000 bikes to youth programs and schools annually.... join us
We've had to cut our hours to Thurs, Fri and Sat from 1-5 due to lack of enough volunteers to keep the longer hours any more. Contact us by email at [email protected] to schedule a special activity if you need us other hours.... or come volunteer if you can to make it possible to expand to the old schedule.

Thanks for including Kiwanis Bikes in your event. We love the park.
Another tabling event at the Sierra Vista Spring Bike Festival. Thank you to the Biggest Little Trail Stewardship for putting on such a great event. Our own Mark Cameron and Randy Collins had lots of people stopping by. Watch for it next May!
We finally acknowledged that too many of our Kiwanis members work all day, and we don't have enough retirees to staff three workdays a week. So our new hours are 1-5 Thursday, Friday and Saturday or by appointment. Shoot us an email at [email protected] if you need help outside of these hours. We'll help if we can. 😒
And on a more positive note --- we're finally able to do the Pairings for Programs party this year! It's late because we had a couple key players who were sick in March. Mark your calendars for May 29 at the Reno Elks Lodge and watch for details soon!

It's time for our annual bike month event --- so come see us on Saturday either to consign and sell, or to look for something new. We've had some great donations that are ready for new homes, so check it out.

Let's give our input! This is a great opportunity to help form the future for northern Nevada open space and parks.
Nevada Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan We want to hear from you! Your input will help prioritize funding for outdoor recreation across Nevada.
We'll be closing from Nov 24 - 27 this year. It's the first time we'll close the shop so our volunteers can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with their families. It will seem different, but hopefully our community friends can understand!
