EnCompass Academy

🎨 Encompass Academy students have been hard at work bringing their mural to life at Northwest Park!

For the past several months, they have been planning and creating this project alongside a local muralist through the Nevada Museum of Art Museum School, meeting every Friday to develop their ideas and transform them into a large-scale public artwork.

We are incredibly grateful to the Nevada Museum of Art Museum School for providing our students with this amazing opportunity each year. Watching their creativity, teamwork, and dedication come together in a permanent piece of public art has been inspiring, and we can’t wait to see the finished mural!

Today is the students’ final day working on the project. Family members and friends who would like to stop by and see the artists in action are welcome to visit. A food truck will be on site from 11:30 AM–2:30 PM, making it a great opportunity to come out, support our students, and watch the mural take shape.

Our Prevention 101 students wrapped up the year with an incredible field trip to Sierra Nevada Journeyss! 🌲☀️

Prevention 101 is a partnership between Encompass Academy and JTNN (Join Together Northern Nevada) focused on drug and alcohol prevention, while also helping students build healthy coping skills, resilience, leadership, and positive decision-making skills. Through activities, discussions, and team-building experiences, students learn strategies to manage stress, build confidence, and make healthy choices for their futures.

During their trip, students challenged themselves on the ropes course, climbed high above the ground, built trust with their teammates, and practiced communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills along the way. From supporting each other through challenges to enjoying the fresh mountain air and beautiful mountain scenery, it was an unforgettable experience filled with growth, teamwork, and confidence-building. 💜🧗‍♀️🌲

🏐 $5 Free Dress Day Tomorrow! 🏐

Students may wear free dress tomorrow for a $5 donation, collected in the morning before school. All proceeds will go toward purchasing a new volleyball net for our athletics program!

Please remember that students must still follow all Encompass free dress guidelines.

Sophomores showed up with school spirit last week, so now they’ve earned a Free Dress Day! 💜

Sophomores may wear free dress on Thursday, May 7th. Freshmen, juniors, and seniors should report to school in uniform as usual.

Make your teachers a thank you card for educator appreciation week! Leadership students will be at lunch to help you create cards Monday - Wednesday this week!! All cards will be delivered on Thursday this week!
