Accessible communities are stronger communities. 💪
When more people can participate in community life, we all benefit. Because everyone deserves access and belonging. 🌻

Many of us are taught that independence is the goal.
But humans have always relied on one another. Every person gives support sometimes, and every person needs support sometimes.
Disability doesn’t create dependence. Instead, it reminds us of something that has always been true: No one thrives alone. 💐

In a world that often celebrates constant productivity, it can be easy to forget that rest has value too.
For many autistic people, periods of rest, recovery, and regulation are not setbacks. They are an important part of growth.
Whether you’re learning something new, healing from burnout, navigating a challenge, or simply taking things one day at a time, your pace is allowed to be your own.
🌸 Some seasons are for blooming. Some are for resting. Both are important.

Too often, autistic people are expected to change who they are in order to fit in.
We believe something different.
With the right support, understanding, and opportunities, autistic people can grow, thrive, and flourish as themselves.
🌼 You deserve room to bloom.

This is Part 4 of our masking series. 🎭
Many autistic people learn to mask in environments where they feel judged, misunderstood, or unsafe. Because of this, unmasking often isn’t as simple as just being yourself.
Feeling safe, accepted, and supported can make it easier for autistic people to express needs, communicate more authentically, and let down some of the constant pressure to monitor or hide parts of themselves.
Unmasking often happens gradually, and it can look different for everyone.
💛 What helps you feel safe enough to be yourself?

This is Part 3 of our masking series. 🎭
Masking isn’t always obvious. Sometimes it looks like carefully watching others, rehearsing conversations, hiding discomfort, or changing behaviors in order to fit in or avoid negative reactions.
For many autistic people, masking develops as a way to navigate environments that don’t feel fully safe or understanding.
What’s something you wish more people understood about masking?
💛 Stay tuned for more posts in this series.
