1 - We have a new number one in Galena. Galena came out hot at the first meet posting a top five spread of 27 seconds. When converting their 2.5 mile race, at altitude, to a 5k, they have 5 runners in the top 16. Their tight pack may be too much to deal with.

What a great way to start the Boy's last High School XC Season!! Kole and Hunter battled it into the finish, and Kole just edged out for the WIN!

What a great start to the Nike Outdoor Nationals! Team from Galena High School placed 7th (All-American) in the DMR Relay!! Kole Steele (1200m), Tyler Estipona (400m), Hunter Steele (800m), and David Coisson (1600m) smashed their previous School Record and set the tone for the rest of the weekend!!

Kole's first race of the season. Well, it was a unofficial "Road Race", but a 5K and he ran strong and Pain Free!! 2nd Age Group, 3rd Overall.
First true XC race of the season (which is almost over) will be at Clovis this Friday.

Both Kole & Hunter received a recruiting letter from the Naval Academy Athletic Association at Annapolis today for their accomplishments in the 3200m & 800m respectively. What an honor to be recruited by a School of such distinction in both Athletics & Academics.
