Join us on Friday, October 17th as several Orvis Students present a panel project at this years 7th Biennial Siglo XXI in the Joe Crowley Student Union. Students will be highlighting the stories of immigrant children serving as translators for their families and what healthcare providers can do to better assist them. Happy first day of the summer semester🩺 We will be having three meetings this summer on the 2nd Wednesday of each month in PMB 16 from 1200 - 1300. My advice: Nursing school can be overwhelming but remember why you wanted to do it in the first place. Work hard but also make time for yourself outside of school and for self care. All of your hard work will pay off!!

Libby Murphy

Dream job: Telemetry!

My advice: Take time to enjoy life outside of nursing school! Take time for yourself and for things that are important to you! And remember to lean on your friends and family for support because you don’t have to do it alone! Nursing school can be overwhelming at times, but keep your head up and know that you are in the right place!

Allison Meier

Dream job: Pediatrics

My advice: One piece of advice is to never give up! It is okay to fail a test, it is okay to not pass one of your check offs, it is okay to get C in a class. I wish I had heard this when I first started nursing school. Just keep pushing through and remember that not everyone’s path is the same. Don’t compare yourself to others because at the end of the day, you will all be nurses :)
