We love to read at the Rockingham County Reading Association and we want to let you know why reading every day is so important!
Below you will find this year's Reading Grant that is funded through the Rockingham County Reading Association. Due by 10-31-2023.
Rockingham County Reading Association Local Grant Project 2023-2024

Address each of the following in your proposal:
I. Description of Project: Provide a clear explanation of the entire project. Include information about what you hope to accomplish and the ways this project will help RCRA meet goals 1-3 listed below.
* Include student or parent literacy needs that this project will address.
II. *The goals of the association are:
1. To promote quality reading instruction.
2. To develop community awareness of the importance of early literacy experiences.
3. To advance opportunities for professionals in the area of reading.
4. To increase membership in the local, state, and International Reading Association.
III. Budget: List each proposed expenditure. Include money from other sources supporting the project if there are other sources.
IV. Participants: Provide a description including the number of people (staff, students, volunteers, etc.) involved in the project.
V. Project Coordinator: Signature of the project coordinator, including a phone number and active email address, who will guide the project. Enter the beginning and ending date of the project.
VI. Have your principal sign the application page where designated. All parts of the application must be complete for your proposal to be considered.
Proposals are limited to FIVE typed pages including the attached form.
