Due to an increased interest in our beginner’s foundational training over the years, we decided to create a training video containing all of our beginner’s foundational drills.

These drills include basic obedience commands, leash work, praising and correcting properly, grooming practice, vet exam desensitization, free time, and proper play. This training video is not intended for addressing serious behavioral issues however, when mastered, these drills will lay a great foundation to build upon.

Once you master these drills in and around the home, as well as in public, many minor behavioral issues will significantly be reduced or eliminated. Furthermore these drills are the foundational drills that we would like every dog to learn before joining our Pack Walk and Train Day Camp. This video is the cheaper alternative to our in person private training program because it contains all the same content that we would teach you in person, but with the ability to go back and watch it as many times as you would like. This video is great if you are not in our service area and still would like to learn our training drills. The video will be sent along with a clickable link to download our workbook which lists each drill with a time stamp associated to each drill and a detailed explanation of each drill. Let’s talk about positional commands. Sit, down and place are really common positional commands. I don’t think the positions are important at all. However, when showing up to a clients home in which the dog has behavioral issues I see a pattern. The pattern is that these dogs are also terrible at positional commands. Furthermore the people struggle to connect with the dogs and motivate them to do these commands with precision joy and confidence. So, the position itself is unimportant but the relationship building opportunities that we can manifest when working on some of these positional commands is extremely important. We need to connect the dots and see the bigger picture. Work on these positional commands and see what your dog is telling you about your relationship, your ability to communicate, and your ability to troubleshoot. Also remember to have fun! 🙏🐾🐶❤️
