I’ve been meaning to reach out to Darrah Brustein | Executive Coach to Sr. Leaders + Founders and tell her how much these two concepts have helped me. I feel like my life has come together in the most incredible ways I could never have dreamed up, and that was only possible because I embraced these two things.
I thought they might be useful for you as well, so I decided to share them here instead!
Thanks Darrah Brustein | Executive Coach to Sr. Leaders + Founders and Bara for making this life happen!

A few weeks ago I got to do something that felt about as full circle as it can get.
Years ago, when I was an engineer in the corporate world, a colleague asked me to host a lunch and learn on mindfulness. I had no interest in the topic, but said yes as a favor. Who could’ve guessed that experience would change the entire trajectory of my life, eventually leading me to training in Positive Intelligence® and building The Art of Working Well.
So getting to bring that workshop to the same company led to a whole lot of feels.
Work and life in 2026 tends to come with a lot of pressure and uncertainty. When you don’t have the right tools for that, it shows up in ways that make it harder to focus, make decisions, and feel good.
The Art of Working Well is what I built to help with exactly that. Making work easier and life better at the same time.
The feedback I got afterward showed me people walked away with something they could use. I’ve shared some of it in the photos, along with a picture with the leadership team who made it happen.
Want to experience it yourself? I’m hosting the same workshop this Tuesday at in Rancho Cordova. Drop a comment and I’ll send you the link.

Your hard days don’t have to be this hard. And making them easier might be simpler than you think.
I’m hosting a workshop called The Art of Working Well, where I’ll share science-backed tools you can use in the heat of the moment, when you’re overwhelmed and stressed and don’t have time to go meditate in a closet.
We’ll cover how to quiet mental noise, regulate stress, and respond more intentionally when it counts.
April 15 at 12pm or May 12 at 1pm at in Rancho Cordova.
Your ticket also includes free access to the (super cute!! great for content creation!) coworking space for the full day, 8am to 5pm.
Comment below and I’ll send you the link!
What delights you in this moment? Or wha can you LET delight you in this moment? I’d love to know, please share in the comments and let us share in the delight!
Recorded this a while ago… needing to lean into it again as my hormones are taking over!
Episode 82 of Smiling Souls Podcast is out now!
During this fun conversation with and we explore what it means to tune in, let go of control, and allow life’s subtle nudges to guide the way.
Comment with any emoji and I’ll DM you a direct link, or check out my stories today only!

TW: IVF challenges within
The Sage Perspective is that “every situation can be turned into a gift or opportunity”.
It doesn’t require that you see every hardship as a positive. Just that you know that “hey, there is something positive I could do with this”. Or sometimes “hey, this may suck, but maybe there’s also gift within”.
Life has been a lot better since this became my default perspective. Especially on a day like today, when we were told the technical medical recommendation was to cancel this egg retrieval and let all the little eggies I’ve been growing for this cycle go.
There was a time when I would have spun out trying to decide and ruminated over how much the decision not to proceed sucked… on how I’d put my body for hell for the last 2 weeks for “nothing”. And on the time and money “wasted”.
But with the Sage perspective it’s easy to feel good about the extra couple weeks of super clean eating I’ll get to do before we try to make any more embryos.
And to believe this was meant to be. The way I see it, we kind of get the benefit of back to back cycles, which worked well last time… but without needing to go through the second procedure or anesthesia.
My coaching clients typically learn about and practice integrating the Sage Perspective during our 5th week of working together. Once they’ve already gotten good at practicing empathy.
Why do you think of the Sage Perspective, and how might it help you on your journey, whatever that may be?
I love how you can apply this to pretty much everything: social justice work, cleaning, taxes…. literal oil changes!
I’d love to hear what you’d like to apply this to. LMK In the comments!
And if you’d like help making life feel better in general, that’s one of my areas of expertise. Feel free to send me a DM!

TW: IVF success story!
Thank you to everyone who sent us positive vibes, thoughts, and prayers. They worked.
TBH I don’t know if I even would have gone through with a second round if I’d had the results of the first before starting. With that info I shifted into curiousity about what my future would look like vs grasping for what I wanted, but TBH I completely lost any belief that bio kids would happen for me. I waited impatiently to get that confirmation, but was super excited to find out we got two healthy embryos instead!
It was a good reminder that it’s almost always a good thing to feel your feelings, that it’s ok to admit what you believe, and that past failures aren’t always predictive of future success.
We’ll be waiting a few years to try to get pregnant and would love a couple more embryos to increase our chances of being successful, so we’ll start another round in a month or so. With some extra hormones to increase our odds.
Until then we’ll be relaxing, catching up on the sports and work I missed, and basking in this glow!
