This is why we love classroom build challenges 💚
A simple design task. An open world. And suddenly, student creativity takes the lead.
When Thomas Bailleul’s students at College Oostende took on the Build a Bridge challenge, they went beyond function and into full creative mode, designing a double‑decker bridge with a living green roof and custom trolley cars. 🌉
It’s a great reminder that in Minecraft Education, constraints don’t limit creativity; they unlock it!
What’s the most unexpected build your students have created? We’d love to hear your stories (and see photos!) in the comments.

This is what meaningful language learning can look like.
For Professora Jessica Xavier, creativity and foreign language instruction go hand in hand. Using Minecraft Education, her students are designing Olympic sports venues as part of a project‑based learning experience grounded in content, language, cognition, and collaboration.
The result is students experiencing language as a living communication tool, not just something to study.
Educators: What’s one project that helped language truly “click” for your students?
