February is Children's Dental Health Month!

Injuries in children may lead to trauma in the teeth. Teeth may be exposed to injuries such as fractures, loosening, and displacement. Approximately 30% of 5th and 6th graders experience traumatic injuries to their anterior teeth every year; the main reasons being sport activities, falls and violence. Drs. Eichenberger, Kramp or Nasry provide emergency dental care for traumatic injuries. Our Endodontists are uniquely qualified to treat these teeth injuries.

Endodontic treatment has now been completed. The root canal system has been permanently sealed. However, the outer surface is sealed with a temporary restoration. A follow-up restoration must be placed to protect your tooth against fracture and decay. Please telephone your restorative dentist for an appointment. A complete report of treatment will be sent to your restorative dentist. Included in your treatment is a follow-up examination to evaluate the progress of healing. A recall card will be mailed to you when it is time to schedule this follow-up examination. Recalls in our office our provided at no adidtional fee to the patient.

Your tooth is more prone to fracture immediately after endodontic treatment. You should attempt to chew on the other side until your restorative dentist has placed restoration.

Endodontic therapy will be performed using local anesthesia. There are usually no restrictions after the procedure concerning driving or returning to work.

Continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems and any other conditions as recommended by your physician. If there is a question, please call our office prior to your appointment.
