Washington Chess Federation

The official page of the Washington Chess Federation. Our mission is to support and promote chess related activities throughout Washington State.

WCF was founded in 1946 and is the official governing body for USCF rated events in WA State. The Washington Chess Federation (WCF) is Washington State's organizing body for chess. It is the only organization representing the State in the United States Chess Federation (USCF), which sanctions all rated chess activities in the United States. The United States Chess Federation in turns represents our country in FIDE, the international organizing body for chess.
