We invite you to a free screening of The Voice of Hind Rajab at SIFF Cinema Uptown, a deeply moving and difficult film that deserves to be experienced together.

After the screening, there will be an optional gathering for those who wish to stay. This will be a gentle, safe space for our Palestinian community and allies to debrief, sit with the emotions the film brings up, and connect with one another. We will also have guest speakers to help guide the conversation with care and intention.

Seattle, this Sunday at 4:45 PM at SIFF Cinema Uptown.

From the Academy Award–nominated director of Four Daughters comes the Academy Award–nominated The Voice of Hind Rajab, a cinematic testament to the courage of five-year-old Hind Rajab and the emergency responders who tried to reach her.

An astounding cinematic achievement from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania, THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB, now an Academy Award nominee for Best International Feature Film, is a powerful portrait of courage and humanity based on real call recordings of five-year-old Hind Rajab to the Palestine Red Crescent during the bombing in Gaza.

This is a free community screening.

All attendees are invited to join us for a post-screening discussion at a local cafe nearby, a space to reflect, share thoughts, and connect with community after the film.

This weekend, over 400 people came together for our Baladna Summer Gathering, a day full of joy, food, culture, and connection.

This event was organized entirely by volunteers and made possible through the support and heart of our team, all out of the expense of Baladna. We did it because we believe our community deserves spaces like this.
