There is a right and a wrong way to cable your trees. The first three photos show cabling done incorrectly: the cable is digging into the tree creating severe wounds from which the tree will never recover, compromising the health of your tree. The final 2 photos show the proper way to have a tree cabled. There’s far less stress done to the tree and it’s still supported well.
