Structure Physical Therapy

I’m very excited to announce that I am going to get licensed by the Onero Academy to help individuals with osteoporosis and osteopenia. This is a training program specifically to help bone mineral density in these individuals. Licensure is only available to Physical Therapists.

The gym I will be working at is the RepRoom in Bellevue. I do not yet have a start date but will be aiming for summer, likely twice a week for one hour.

Although this program is designed to help individuals with osteoporosis, it is also helpful for those with low muscle tone, hypermobility, balance issues, and history of disordered eating/female athlete triad syndrome.

Weight lifting is one of the things that has helped my body feel it’s best and I can’t wait to share that with others in a safe way.

Going through certification really synthesized my knowledge and helped me take things to the next level with my practice. Very excited to help my patients even more.

2025 schedule is now open, January-April. Scheduling early is best to get consistent appointment times and it's easier to cancel them than to get an appointment later when things are very full.

Exciting news! Structure Physical Therapy will now offer full body TENS. Neuro 20 is the only full body TENS machine that is FDA approved. They use a special type of pad and stitching (no metal) that disperses the electricity so that it wont irritate sensitive skin.

There's current research being done on many different conditions, including:

1. Long COVID/CFS
2. Dysautonomia
3. Spinal cord injury
4. Stroke
5. Mental health

Personally, I was able to use it and it helped with parasympathetic nervous system, mood, pain and sleep. I noticed my resting heart rate reduce at night, my heart rate variability improve. My ability to exercise improved as well and it shortened my recovery time post difficult exercise. I was able to sit in a car for 14 hours driving back from Yellowstone with no lower back pain (usually this would not be the case).

Other patients of mine have seen it help anxiety, high blood pressure events and pain.

This book is worth it!!!

For any provider seeing patients with EDS, it contains 75 cutting edge case studies for both common and rare conditions. The cases are succinct, thorough, and compassionately patient focused. Many times the providers mention that these issues are often mismanaged in the medical community due to lack of understanding. Highly recommend!
