One of the unique opportunities available to students at the University of Redlands is May Term - an immersive academic experience combining hands-on learning, service, research, and travel.

This May, junior player Joey Madigan took advantage of May Term, traveling to the Mamoni Valley and Guna Yala regions of Panama, where he put his skills into action!

·      Used enterprise-level drone technology to create maps and NDVI imagery for the Mamoni Valley Preserve and Geoversity

·      Developed detailed base maps for remote native communities

·      Created drone content to help promote the course and its mission

·      Collected forestry and hydrology data that will contribute to a 10-year environmental science project with Geoversity

Experiences like these allow our student-athletes to pursue their academic passions, gain real-world experience, and make a meaningful impact while also competing at a high level in NCAA athletics.

At Redlands, water polo is more than what happens in the pool! We believe in developing well-rounded leaders, scholars, and athletes ready to make a difference wherever life takes them!

Reporting to the Head Men’s Coach and the Head Women’s Coach, the assistant water polo coach is responsible for furthering the mission of the University, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, and Bulldog water polo programs. The assistant coach must comply with all University, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) rules and policies.
