und. When it comes to making a record, Stu Stu Studio has the comfortable space, the professional gear, and the qualified engineer on hand to help you get the job done. Our carefully cultivated arsenal of professional instruments includes a top-of-the-line drum set, handmade boutique amplifiers with quality vintage and modern speakers, classic guitars and basses, and a respectable microphone locker. Let us put brand new heads on the drums, get them thumping for you. And we can professionally set up and intonate the guitars to your preferred tuning before your first recording session. Instead of isolating people in uncomfortable rooms, all tracking takes place in an open and relaxed environment. Communication flows freely and openly between everyone involved in the session, and the transitions from recording to playback are seamless. Most importantly, all recordings at Stu Stu Studio are captured as naturally and transparently as possible, with extreme attention to detail, by our producer and highly certified audio engineer. Oh, more coffee? Sure thing. After recording, your songs will need professional mixing. When we say 'mixing', we don't mean tweaking the roughs a little bit here and there and calling it a day. We start over completely and build each mix from scratch, with fresh ears and a curious mind. Instead of blindly following the latest mixing fashion -- which leaves as quickly as it arrives -- or mindlessly adhering to all-too-common practices, we simply follow the song and allow it to dictate our mixing approach. Is your music smooth and sweet? Heavy and hard? Not a problem. Since 2005 we've mixed hundreds of songs spanning many different genres. One of the unique advantages of having your record mixed at Stu Stu Studio is that all tracks are combined naturally (electrically) in glorious analog. Fusing tracks this way gives our mixes much more width, separation, and sonic clarity than mixes of digital ones and zeroes smashed together by a computer. Also, you don't have to worry about getting your mixes mastered. We regularly work with well-known, award-winning mastering engineers, and will highly recommend one of them based on your particular budget and needs. Another cup of coffee? You got it. Speaking of budget and needs, Stu Stu Studio welcomes projects of all shapes and sizes, and we are confident we can find a recording or mixing solution for you and your music that fits within your means.
