Help Needed: There are two Seniors in need of help. One is a female senior citizen who broke her food and needs help with light housekeeping (she has a cat). The other is a male senior citizen who needs a ride to a doctor's appointment. If you can help either of these individuals, please send an email to Tom via [email protected] to let him know as soon as possible. He will give you specific details for each of the seniors!

The Redford Goodfellows are in need of Volunteers/Workers for their "NO CHILD WITHOUT A CHRISTMAS" program. If you can help, please go directly to the South Redford Schools Administration Building at 26141 Schoolcraft Rd, south of the I96 service drive - next to Thurston High School as follows:

December 13: Starting at noon (and continuing until they are done) they need help sorting canned goods for the Christmas baskets

December 14: Starting at 9am (and continuing until they are done) they need help Packing the Christmas Baskets

December 15: 11:30 am until 3:00 pm - They need volunteers to be at the South Redford Schools Administration Building to distribute Christmas Baskets and Toys

MAKE A SENIOR SMILE - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16
Tomorrow is Make A Senior Smile Day! Grab your rake and meet at the Redford Community Center at 8:30 am and lunch will be provided for all volunteers at 12:30 pm.

Jefferson is looking for more dads! Come and learn about the WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students!) program. The WATCH D.O.G.S. program's goal is to engage men, inspire children, reduce bullying and enhance the educational environment in the school by providing positive male role models for the students. Volunteers spend a day in the school taking part in morning announcements, helping students in the classroom, eating lunch with students and are involved in other fun and visible activities. They are "heroes" in the school!

Got a few extra hours on a Saturday morning? Want to use them to Make A Difference :) - MOVING DAY: Saturday September 7th
An elderly woman in Redford is being evicted from her home. We need at volunteers to help move her possessions to a storage unit today, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH beginning at 8:00 am. If you can help, please go right to the house. If we can get a lot of help, it should only take a few hours. Her address is 18215 Poinciana in Redford (7 Mile and Inkster, near Curtis). If you have questions, call Tom at (313) 207-5626.

Reminder: Tomorrow (Saturday, September 7th) we need help moving home of an elderly woman living on Poinciana in Redford who is being evicted from her home. We will be packing a truck and taking it to a storage facility. If you can help, let Tom Rayburn know. We will be meeting at her home around 9am and going until... Update: We have been working this week to help a Redford Senior pack up her home and move. The packing is almost done but we could use a couple people to help her after 4pm today to finish up a bedroom. Tomorrow (Saturday, September 7th) volunteers are needed after 8am to load a moving truck and unload it at a storage facility. If you can help, contact Tom Rayburn at [email protected] or call him at 313-207-5626. If you can spare an hour or two tomorrow morning, Tom would REALLY appreciate it!

Redford Senior Being Evicted - Yesterday we began the task of packing the home of an elderly woman being evicted from her Redford home. We are in need of volunteers to help all day today (Thursday) and possibly Friday to continue packing and also on Saturday morning at 8am to move her. Her home is on Poinciana in Redford. We will need as much help as we can get. Please consider dropping by for a few hours.
