Does the shadow ever reach

There will come a day, when Paislee is older, that she understands the hard lessons I’ve given to her.

For instance, even if we stand in Target playing Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch 2 demo for 45 minutes, daddy will lovingly, but continuously decimate, dominate and annihilate you on that Mario Kart demo every time. There are just some things that daddy cannot help you win. 😂

One day, you’re giving your babygirl her first bath in the hospital. The next, you’re buying her deodorant, teaching her about healthy relationships, and cheering her on as she runs her first 5k.

Seize these moments, they don’t last forever. The present is so important.

It’s been a minute and I hope yall are doing well!

A while back, I found a photo of my father that I hadn’t seen before and I really loved it. It was him when he was happy, healthy, and in his “Brake World” gear, which was the auto shop he built.

I loved it so much that I really wanted to recreate everything about it. I redesigned the logo, found the style of cap 🧢, had some printed (thank you New Avenues INK), then took a photo in an effort to recreate the original as closely as possible.

And, here we are. I miss him so much.

One of the trickiest aspects of life is identifying when a significant era in your life has run its course and it’s time to let go and move forward.

Don’t rob yourself of growth, excitement, peace, creativity and exploration.
