The children of House of Hope headed off to school with full hearts and bright eyes, grateful for the opportunity that so many take for granted. They know what it means to have someone stand behind them and say, "Your education matters. You matter."

A warm loaf of bread. A safe place to rest. For refugees near the frontline, these are not small things — they are everything. 🍞🙏 In Smila, our partner is quietly doing the kind of work that changes lives — opening the doors of a shelter to displaced families and making sure that no one goes hungry. Seated around tables, adults and children receive bread with grateful hands, finding in that simple moment a feeling that has been hard to come by — the feeling of being cared for. Behind every person in that room is a story of loss, of displacement, and of resilience. And behind every loaf of bread placed in their hands is a community of supporters who refused to look away. 77 years ago, the world made a promise to its children. 🌍
A promise that they would be protected. That their voices would matter. That no child would be left behind. On International Children's Rights Day, we pause to honor that promise — and to recommit ourselves to it.
At OCTO, this is not just a day on the calendar. It is the heartbeat behind everything we do. Every meal prepared, every lesson taught, every child welcomed — it all traces back to the belief that children are worth fighting for, worth investing in, and worth celebrating.

Hard work always finds its reward. 🌟 We are so proud to share that Srey Samnang, one of our beautiful girls from Esther House, placed Number 1 in her class in April — and continued her streak of excellence by placing Number 3 in May. Two months of dedication, focus, and a heart that refuses to settle for anything less than her best. Srey Samnang, you inspire everyone around you. Your achievements remind us why we do what we do — and why every child deserves the chance to discover just how capable they truly are. We are cheering you on every single step of the way. 🙏❤️
