Our Host Homes Program is looking for a little help from our community!
Our Transitional Living House serves homeless young adults ages 18β24 in Shasta County, providing a safe place to live while they work toward independence and stability. With 6β8 residents typically living in the home, we are in need of a larger refrigerator to better meet their needs.
If you have a refrigerator in excellent working condition to donate, or would like to help us purchase one, please check out the original post for details.
Every donation, big or small, helps create a place where young people can focus on building brighter futures. β€οΈ

π£ Community Need Alert π£
Our Transitional Living Program provides safe, stable housing for homeless young adults ages 18β24 right here in Shasta County. At any given time, we are typically housing 6β8 youth as they work toward independence, employment, education, and long-term stability.
We are currently in need of a new, larger refrigerator for our transitional house. The refrigerator we have is no longer meeting the needs of the residents, and additional space would make a huge difference for the young people who call this house home.
If you have a refrigerator in excellent working condition that you would be willing to donate, or if you would like to contribute toward the purchase of one, we would love to hear from you!
Please send us a message or contact us directly for more information.

We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and the young woman she has become.
As she looks forward to a well-earned summer break and begins college classes this fall, we canβt wait to see what the future holds for her.
Please join us in congratulating Taya on this amazing accomplishment. We are so proud of you and honored to be part of your journey.πππ

Sometimes the greatest gift a foster parent can give a child is not replacing their family, but helping preserve it. π
Foster care is about providing safety, stability, and love while supporting healing and reunification whenever possible. The impact of showing grace, patience, and support to both children and their families can last a lifetime.

We are incredibly grateful to the Community Alliance Network for their generous donation to our agency following this yearβs Spring Fest event.
Because of supporters like CAN, we are able to continue showing up for children, youth, and families in our community through foster care, housing support, and programs that create hope and stability when itβs needed most.
Spring Fest was more than just a fun community event - it was an opportunity for people to come together and directly impact the lives of vulnerable children and families right here in our region. We are so thankful to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, sponsored, and helped make the event such a success.
To the Community Alliance Network: thank you for believing in our mission and investing in βour children, our communities, our legacy.β Your partnership and generosity will make a lasting difference. β€οΈ
βOur children. Our communities. Our legacy.β π
Every child deserves safety, stability, and someone willing to show up for them. Foster parents have the opportunity to change the trajectory of a childβs life simply by opening their home and heart.
This Foster Care Awareness Month, weβre reminded that healing happens in community- that together, we can make a lasting impact.
Weβre so grateful to Valley Christian Family for inviting us to speak today during Foster Care Awareness Month.
Every conversation helps bring more awareness to the needs of children and families in our community, and reminds foster families that they are not alone.
Thank you for partnering with us and helping create hope for vulnerable youth and families. π
