The kick-off to Kool April Nites Weekend is today, Apr. 22, and it's unlike anything Redding has done before.

It's the fifth annual "Spring Fest" car and bike show, put on by Impact on Networking (ION), in partnership with Viva Downtown and Kool April Nites. Unlike their first four shows, ION, with help from Viva Downtown, will hold the event in downtown Redding, on the recently reopened Market Street. It will mark the first time that new stretch of road has been used for a car show, and over 200 retro cars will take part in the event.
