Did you know that Lyme disease was originally named after a town in Connecticut❓

Over the last two months, scientists and researchers have found that the current tick season is much different from recent years. With 2026 tick samples being found to be positive for Lyme at a higher-than-average rate of 40%, it's crucial that pet parents understand where and how to avoid possible bites.

Outdoor areas to avoid:
🍃 Areas with tall grass & brush
🍃 Heavy leaves
🍃 Woody areas

Places to check:
🐕 In & around pets ears
🐕 Around eyelids & tail
🐕 Under front legs & collar
🐕 Between back legs & toes

Signs of potential Lyme:
⚠️ Lameness
⚠️ Joint swelling
⚠️ Poor exercise
⚠️ Loss of appetite
⚠️ Fever

Emma's gentle touch keeps her patient safe and secure during transport.

Sgt. Stubby was a Connecticut stray dog turned WWI hero. He is credited with saving many lives and was also a morale booster for the men and women serving our country during a very difficult war. He was the first dog ever promoted to sergeant in the U.S. Army!

Serving with the 102nd Infantry, Sergeant Stubby is still remembered as one of the most decorated war dogs in U.S. history. Thank you for your service Stubby and thank you to all who served as we honor you on this Memorial Day.

The Goldendoodle is a very popular dog breed. They are a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. They are highly social, intelligent and often sought out for therapy dog work. They adore kids and make great family dogs. They are "somewhat " hypoallergenic and require a professional grooming every 6- 8 weeks or their fur will become extremely matted. They have sweet and silly temperaments.

We have the best patients and clients!! Thank you Lois and Eddie for the special treats! Eddie, you did all the work and it shows!! We are very proud of your weight loss journey! Amazing work!!
