Your past is part of your story, but it doesn't have to define your future.
The Youth Creating Change OYCR Challenge invites current and formerly incarcerated youth and young adults in California, ages 12β25, to share their story through art, video, digital media, or spoken word. β¨ "Dear Future Me / Dear Future We"
Your story can help others understand your journey, recognize your strengths, and see the possibilities that lie ahead.

Not every moment needs an immediate reaction.
What if taking care of your mental health started with simply pressing pause? βΈ
Stress is a normal part of life, but when it starts to build, it's important to recognize the signs before reaching a breaking point. That's where Take Space to Pause comes in.
Created by teens, for teens, this California campaign helps young people recognize stress, build healthy coping skills, and create a personalized Pause Plan to navigate life's challenges. Whether it's taking a walk, talking with someone you trust, listening to music, or simply taking a breath, small moments of pause can help you reset and recharge.
You don't have to wait until things feel overwhelming to take care of your mental health.

Alcohol use can increase a personβs risk of su***de, which is why conversations about mental health and alcohol awareness matter.
Taking care of your mental health can start with small, everyday choices π
Alcohol can affect how we feel, cope with stress, and support our overall wellbeing. If youβve been thinking about cutting back or creating healthier habits, know that even small changes can make a meaningful difference, and itβs never too late to start.
Whether your goal is drinking less, taking more mindful pauses, or simply learning more about the connection between alcohol and mental health, support and practical tools are available.
Explore helpful tips and resources from the California Department of Public Health: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CCDPHP/sapb/Pages/Tips-to-Drink-Less-Alcohol.aspx.

Be gentle with yourself. Progress doesnβt have to be perfect to matter. ππ
