Brought up to love and appreciate comfort foods early on. Thank you Nana for teaching me how to cook.
Mention only- As I’ve stated in the past I try to review an eating establishment two to three times before giving it a final review.
The criteria are as follows:
*Parking.
*asthestics or overall first impressions of exterior as well as interior. ( Ambiance).
*Service.
*quality of food and presentation.
*Cost factor.
These are rated in 1-5 stars in each category
McCormick & Kuleto's Seafood & Steaks- In San Francisco located at Ghirardelli Square.
Parking-as it is most of the time in San Francisco parking can be challenging. the parking at Ghirardelli Square is no different and can at times be frustrating for people that are not locals and not used to the difficulties in finding parking. however, there is a parking garage located in the structure. If you don’t mind paying a fee which is typical in San Francisco. Of course, the cost varies depending on how long you choose to stay. 2.5 stars
The first impression was amazing ( for me) I think in large part because of the history and of course part of that San Francisco experience. The restaurant is in the Ghirardelli Square which has many eateries and of course the Ghirardelli chocolate experience. The restaurant is quite large, and has a pretty amazing wine display. Seating was phenomenal and I’m sure more romantic at night as you have a beautiful view of the Bay and Alcatraz Island and a small glimpse of the Golden Gate. Overall first impression of interior and ambiance was a little too big and drafty and somewhat outdated. But all in all I give it three out of 5 stars for the fact that it’s in Ghirardelli Square and the view is beautiful. 3 stars
Service was excellent, and the waiter we had was Aaron. Aaron was very warm and cordial and attentive. The delivery of the appetizer and refills on beverages were never an issue. The main course was out of the kitchen and on our table rather quickly. The rest of the staff were friendly and polite and all made the service pity on pleasant. 5 stars
Quality of food and presentation were lacking a little in my opinion. I ordered crab cakes that came with vegetables and potatoes. The aioli sauce was bland and not quite enough for my liking. The crab cakes on their own were delicious but for me it goes to the aioli and that was not quite satisfying for me. The vegetables were done quiet well with a nice seasoned flavor and of course Al dente as they should be. The potato’s a little under seasoned in my opinion. I think for me the overall presentation was the huge disappointment. Just a very lazy or sloppy presentation for my dish. The other dish was a cedar plank salmon which was delicious but again presentation not appealing. So for quality and flavor it was good…not out of this world, but good. The appetizer was also lacking in my opinion. Calamari was just ok and the marinara sauce was watery and bland. Why would you serve this? Overall I give these two dishes and appetizer 3.0 stars
Cost factor was what you might expect in San Francisco. My Crab Cakes were 45 and the Salmon 29 which I think is reasonable. (for the salmon) I think the crab cakes a little on the pricy side for this particular dish. Then there is the San Francisco health mandate fee which was 5 dollars on this Check. Not sure how I feel about that yet. Overall a little pricey but again it’s San Francisco and the view was awesome. 4 stars

The City of Williams is the gateway to the Northern California hunting and fishing mecca. Also pheasant and dove hunting is available. The nearby foothill regions provide deer, elk, and wild boar hunters a challenge. The Sacramento River, 10 miles east, provides Salmon, Striper, Steelhead and Sturgeon

Granzella’s in Williams California is usually my stopping point when coming up from southern California or central California. Granzella’s as mentioned is located in Williams California, approximately 59 miles north of Sacramento and 103.3 miles south of Redding California off of Highway 99.
I provided a link to Granzella’s and uploaded various pictures. This is not a review, but rather a casual mention of this establishment, which I enjoy stopping at. The website will tell you what you need to know however, there is a variety of items such as wine, hot sauces, canned goods, olive oil, and much much more. The deli provides awesome service with delicious sandwiches. There’s also a restaurant in the very front end of the establishment and a bar in the back. The bathrooms are very clean and maintained. If you’re ever traveling on Highway 99 whichever direction, be sure to at least consider stopping at this establishment and Williams. https://www.granzellas.com/pages/gift-shop
