LISA JENSEN SENTENCED FOR DUI AND RECKLESS DRIVING CAUSING INJURY
On Friday, Lisa Marie Jensen was sentenced to 5 years of formal probation, 120 days in jail with 90 days stayed pending successful completion of probation, and her driver’s license has been suspended for 3 years. Jensen must also complete a Victim Impact Panel and DUI school. In addition, Jensen was given the Watson Advisement on the record, which states that if she continues to drive while under the influence of alcohol and as a result of her driving someone is killed, she can be charged with murder.
At sentencing, two motions filed by Jensen’s defense counsel were heard. One was a motion to dismiss the case, and the other was a motion to reduce the charges to misdemeanors. Both motions were denied by the court.
The charges in this case stem from an incident that occurred on the night of November 17, 2023, in which Jensen was driving an electric scooter on the sidewalk when she hit the victim, a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk, from behind. A law enforcement investigation determined that Jensen was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Under California Vehicle Code 670, a “vehicle” is defined as a device by which any person or property may be propelled, moved, or drawn upon a highway, excepting a device moved exclusively by human power or used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks. Under the law, an electric scooter is a vehicle.
In February, Jensen was found guilty of two felony charges by a Shasta County jury. Those charges include one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Injury and one count of Reckless Driving Causing Injury to Another. For the Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Injury charge, the jury also found the special allegation that Jensen inflicted Great Bodily Injury to be true. After the jury’s verdict was read in court, Jensen admitted to the court that she had a prior DUI conviction and based on that admission, the judge found the special allegation of Jensen having a prior DUI conviction within 10 years of the charged offense to be true and found the special allegation that Jensen had prior convictions of increasing seriousness to be true.

Nationwide Manhunt for 32-year-old Travis Decker.
FYI.
Some of the content in the link is disturbing and very hard to read.
WASHINGTON (KABC) -- Police released new video of the man accused of killing his three young daughters near a campground in Washington State, and as the search for him intensifies, officials are warning he could be "anywhere within the nation."
The Ring camera footage shows 32-year-old Travis Decker just days before police say he killed Paityn Decker, 9; Evelyn Decker, 8; and Olivia Decker, 5.
Authorities said they have learned Decker was well-versed in wilderness survival and could be capable of spending days or even weeks in the wilderness on his own with very little equipment. Morrison said Decker's father said his son had been known to go out and live "off the grid" for up to 2 and 1/2 months.
Details on Travis Decker's military background emerge
Decker was deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 while on active duty in the Army and transferred to the Washington National Guard in 2021 "from the active component," according to a spokesperson for the Washington State Military Department. Preparations for an "administration separation" began in 2023 or 2024, but the process has not officially started and he remains in the Washington National Guard, the spokesperson said.
