Our Red Bank & Toms River locations will be closed this Saturday, June 13th-Tuesday, June 16th as we travel to Chicago to receive the 2026 James Beard Foundation Impact Award.

We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to addressing food insecurity and building community through our Pay It Forward model.

Our longtime partners, Lowe's Home Improvement, built us additional garden boxes outside our Red Bank location! 🌱🌷 These new boxes mean even more flowers and fresh produce grown right at JBJ Soul Kitchen!

Lisa and Judy met about 5 years ago while volunteering at JBJ Soul Kitchen, and soon discovered they were actually neighbors! Their feelings on volunteering aligned with wanting to help others in a very tangible way.

“This is what happens on a daily basis at JBJ Soul Kitchen, not just by providing meals, but by offering assistance with employment, housing, and other social services,” Judy shared. “Lisa and I have become great friends thanks to the experiences we’ve encountered here, and like to think of ourselves as ‘JBJ Soul Sisters.’”
