Conan the Barbarian Vol.1 issue 20. Published by Marvel in August of 1972. Written by , pencils/colors by , and inks by . In this issue, Conan looks for the injured Fafnir and enters Makkalet’s Temple of Tarim alongside Balthaz’s forces. Conan defeats a skeletal warrior conjured by a mirror, kills the menacing Black Hound, and discovers that Balthaz threw Fafnir overboard into the sea while still alive. Enraged, Conan kills Balthaz, slashes Prince Yezdigerd’s face, and escapes into the ocean.

In this series, a young boy named David discovers that Martians have landed in a sand pit behind his house and are mind-controlling the adults in his town. With the help of a sympathetic doctor and the U.S. military, he launches a desperate raid on the alien stronghold to stop the invasion.

Salimba 3-D issues 1 and 2. Published by Blackthorne in August and September of 1986. Written by with art by , , and . A jungle warrior in the tradition of Sheena and Taanda, and the first such character to be an African native. Salimba is the immortal queen of a lost African kingdom. With superhuman powers and two panther companions, she protects her people and the jungle itself, as she has for centuries. Salimba encounters a cursed pirate crew and its handsome leader. Then she pursues a zombie gorilla to the castle of the Dogwoman, a powerful magical entity, and learns that the demon-creature wants her heart. But the secret of the bizarre, snake-like Wormboy is even more bizarre.

Lady Death: The Crucible issue 1. Published by Chaos! Comics in October of 1996. Written by with pencils/inks and colors. In this issue, Lady Death grapples with a cold isolation and haunting memories. She feels a rare sense of belonging among her newfound warrior kin. Tragedy strikes when her half-sister, Vandala, is slain in her sleep by an old enemy with a hidden agenda, plunging Lady Death into mounting anger and setting off the main arc of the series.

Lady Death: The Odyssey issue 1. Published by Chaos! Comics in April of 1996. Written by , pencils by , and colors by . In this issue, Lady Death is trapped in the void between worlds when a voice enters her mind. It tells her to choose her destiny. She tries to ignore it. In another realm Vandala wonders that this woman is supposed to be a savior that just wallows in her sad past. The Judgement Era is coming for the Fallen Angels and Lady Death has the central role to fulfill. In desperation Vandala enters the void and collects the unconscious Lady Death. Before recorded time in another realm the fallen angel Agony arrives in Manicore, a lush jungle world thats is now frozen solid by Agony’s despair. Lady Death is cast ito this frozen world and her coming is like a fiery comet that melts the jungle where she crashes to earth.

Green Lantern Corps Vol.2 issue 1. Published by DC in November of 2011. Written by with pencils, inks, and a cover. This issue opens up with two Green Lanterns getting slaughtered by an unknown villain. Meanwhile on earth, Guy Gardner tries to get a job as a High School PE Teacher but can’t. Elsewhere John Stewart leaves an architect job after the people he’s working with try to go the cheap rout and endanger lives. Cut to sector 3599, an entire planet get’s slaughtered. John and Guy get the mission to investigate the slaughtered planet with a bunch or other Lanterns. Upon landing they realize the entire planet’s water has been stolen and they find two green lanterns impaled.

In this issue, Hal heads back to Edwards Air Force base to get some answers about the aircraft Jillian “Cowgirl” Pearlman was test flying. It’s a reverse engineered alien design, and it doesn’t belong on Earth. Before Hal can get all the answers, he’s attacked by the Manhunters.

In this issue, a year has passed since the massed ranks of the Green Lantern Corps defeated the Spider Guild. And across the galaxy, new Lanterns discover what it truly means to wear the Corps insignia, as their courage and comradeship is tested to the limit.
