A day of fun and unforgettable memories for local families. ❤️ Berks County-based CHOR Youth & Family Services joined thousands of children and family members at Dorney Park’s annual Day of Giving on Sunday, where the park donated more than 4,600 tickets to families served by nonprofit organizations across the region.

CHOR families and volunteers were among those enjoying rides, attractions, and special experiences during the event, which celebrates the impact local nonprofits have on children and families every day.

🌪️ The National Weather Service has received reports of storm damage in Marion Township following Saturday evening’s severe weather.

According to a preliminary storm report, several homes were damaged around 6 p.m., including one residence that reportedly had its roof blown off and another that lost a chimney. Emergency management officials also reported video showing what may have been a gustnado or tornado.

The National Weather Service said the damage occurred near Marion Township and the time was estimated based on radar data. The report remains preliminary as officials continue to assess the damage.

Warbirds filled the skies over Reading Regional Airport on Saturday during the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum’s World War II Weekend.

These photos capture just a few of the historic aircraft that took part in the airshow. World War II Weekend continues Sunday, bringing together dozens of vintage aircraft, military vehicles, reenactors, and living history displays for one of the nation’s premier World War II aviation events.

⛈️ The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Berks County until 6:30 PM. At 5:23 PM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Wilkes-Barre to Mahanoy City to Forrestville to Tremont, moving east at 45 mph.

60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
