Every restoration professional starts somewhere and having a strong foundation can make all the difference.

If you are new to water restoration, the IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) course is designed to help you understand the principles, processes, and best practices behind responding to water losses. If you have been in the industry for a while but have not earned your WRT certification yet, it is an opportunity to strengthen your knowledge and build on the experience you have gained in the field.

At RTI, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. Our goal is to create an environment where students can ask questions, learn from experienced instructors, and leave with knowledge they can apply with confidence.

Join instructor Destry Ransdell for our upcoming virtual IICRC WRT course, taking place August 4–6.

Whether you are registering yourself or investing in your team, we would love to welcome you to RTI.

Documentation is critical in restoration, but anyone who has spent time in the field knows that manual data entry can slow things down and create opportunities for mistakes.

One of RTI's Educational Champion Sponsors, Encircle, recently introduced Instant Reading Capture in Encircle Hydro, an AI-powered feature that automatically extracts readings from photos of moisture meters and thermo-hygrometers. Instead of manually entering values, technicians can simply snap a photo and let the technology do the work.

As an integration partner with Lever360, Encircle continues to develop practical solutions that help restoration professionals improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in the field.

Innovations like this are helping move the industry forward by reducing administrative work and allowing teams to spend more time focused on serving customers.

If you are planning to take both WRT and ASD, there is a reason they were designed to build on one another.

WRT gives you the foundation, the principles behind water restoration, how to approach a loss, and why the process matters.

ASD takes that foundation further. It focuses on the science of structural drying and how to apply those principles in the field.

Taking both in the same week is not just convenient. It is a better way to learn. Concepts stay fresh, questions carry over naturally, and you return to work with a complete skill set instead of half of one.

At RTI, the goal is not just to help students earn a certification. It is to help them leave with knowledge they can apply with confidence on the very next job.

Join instructor Destry Ransdell for our IICRC WRT + ASD Combo, July 13–17.

One week of training can change the way you approach every water loss that follows.

The IICRC WRT + ASD Combo is designed to help restoration professionals build a strong foundation in water restoration and then take the next step by understanding the science and application of structural drying. Completing both courses in one week gives technicians the opportunity to connect the concepts, ask questions, and leave with knowledge they can put to work as soon as they are back in the field.

At RTI, we believe learning goes beyond earning a certification. It is about building confidence, learning from experienced instructors, and becoming better prepared to serve your customers when they need you most.

Join instructor Destry Ransdell for our upcoming WRT + ASD Combo, July 13–17 and invest in your team's growth through a week of practical, hands-on learning.

Registration closes soon as class begins next week.

Some of the most valuable lessons don't happen during a presentation. They happen around a lunch table.

A few weeks ago, Mike Dekker from Benefect joined our AMRT class at RTI. There were no sales pitches or product demonstrations, just an open conversation with students about the realities of restoration. From Lubrizol approvals and PVC compatibility to the chemistry behind botanical disinfectants and the impact of choosing the right products on commercial projects, Mike shared practical knowledge drawn from real industry experience.

That's one of the things we value at RTI. Learning doesn't stop when the instructor steps away from the front of the room. It continues through conversations, shared experiences, and the willingness of industry partners to invest in the next generation of restoration professionals.

We're grateful to have Benefect as an RTI Educational Champion and appreciate Mike taking the time to invest in our students.
Thank you, Mike. We look forward to having you back.

When water losses happen, the quality of the response often comes down to one thing: training.

From proper extraction and drying to documentation, monitoring, and understanding industry standards, water restoration professionals need a strong foundation to perform efficiently, reduce risk, and deliver consistent results for customers.

That’s why the Water Restoration Technician (WRT) course remains one of the most important certifications in the restoration industry. Recognized by the IICRC, WRT provides the core knowledge and best practices every technician should understand when handling water damage claims.

If your team handles water losses, this is the course.
