Refresh Berks announces the May schedule for its mobile shower program serving individuals experiencing homelessness throughout Berks County. 🫧

In May, there will be free, safe, and accessible shower services available at...

- Cafe Esperanza, 105 W. Greenwich St., on Tuesdays, from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Penske Beach, 255 Riverfront Dr., on Thursdays, from 12 to 2 p.m.
- Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot, 527 Washington St., on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pastor Rashion Santiago’s journey has come full circle. ⛪️ Raised in Reading, she grew up experiencing the power of community firsthand in neighborhoods like Glenside, where neighbors supported one another and faith was lived beyond the walls of a church. Now, after years of ministry and leadership, she has returned home with a new vision.

Santiago is helping introduce an “inside out” approach to church—focused on meeting people where they are, building relationships, and strengthening community connections rather than relying solely on traditional worship settings.

Through her work in Reading, she hopes to create a more inclusive, community-driven model of faith that reflects the needs and realities of today.
