Found: One Lonely Bicycle

A child’s bicycle was found at Pineland Park and has been turned over to the ETPD.

If your child is missing a bike, please contact us at (610) 972 9295 and reference report #25-26-17688.

You’ll be asked to describe the bicycle so we can make sure it’s returned to its rightful owner.

The Exeter Township Police Department is seeking to identify an additional suspect involved in a retail theft that occurred on June 29, 2026, at the Exeter Lowe's.

The pictured individual allegedly stole a 26 gallon Kobalt air compressor valued at $479. The suspect fled the area in a charcoal gray Honda Pilot.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect or this incident is asked to contact the Exeter Township Police Department and reference incident #25-26-14843. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Alert Berks County for a possible reward.

RETIREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Today we recognize Officer Chris Miller as he retires after 28 years with the Exeter Township Police Department.

Chris has been a huge part of this department for nearly three decades. He's trained new officers as a Field Training Officer, helped guide us through the early years of accreditation as our Accreditation Manager, and spent years as a Defensive Tactics Instructor. No matter the assignment, he always showed up, did the job the right way, and was someone people could count on.

Chris was also incredibly community minded. He believed policing was about treating people with respect, and making a positive impact.

Twenty eight years is a long run, and the impact he's had on this department and our community will be felt for years to come.

Congratulations on a well earned retirement, Chris. Thank you for everything you've done for Exeter Township. Enjoy every minute. You've earned it.

Expect single-lane flagging, heavy equipment, and traffic delays during work hours.

Essential road maintenance is required, and road crews will be operating in the lanes and need safe, clear space to work.

Stop by to meet the officers who patrol your neighborhood, ask questions, share concerns, or just say hello. Think of it as a satellite police station in your Patrol zone or neighborhood for the evening.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Drugs and Fi****ms Arrest

DEFENDANT:
Adalberto Acevedo Jr. (age 39)
75 Overlook Drive,
Exeter Twp, PA

CHARGES:

• Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
• Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
• Persons Not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell or Transfer Fi****ms (Felony)

DETAILS OF INCIDENT:
On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the Berks County Drug Task Force, in partnership with the Reading Police Vice Unit, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Exeter Township Police Department, served a search warrant authorized by Berks County Magisterial District Judge Sandra Fegley for the residence of 75 Overlook Drive, Exeter Township.

A search was conducted and the following evidence was seized:

•Nine handguns
•Six rifles
•Approximately sixty grams of co***ne
•Approximately four pounds of ma*****na
•The total estimated street value of the drugs is $16,800.
•Five digital scales, with suspected drug residue
•Packaging materials commonly used for the distribution of narcotics
•Assorted ammunition and firearm magazines
•$37,333 in United States currency believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales

The investigation further revealed that the defendant had previously been convicted of felony drug offenses, making him prohibited under Pennsylvania law from possessing or controlling fi****ms.

"The seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs and fifteen fi****ms from a convicted felon demonstrates the outstanding work being performed every day by the Berks County Drug Task Force and our law enforcement partners. Drug traffickers often arm themselves to protect their criminal enterprises, creating an increased danger to our communities. Today's enforcement action removed dangerous narcotics, illegal fi****ms, and the profits of drug trafficking from our streets." — District Attorney John T. Adams

Acevedo was transported to the Berks County Sheriff's Office Central Processing Center, where he was formally charged and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Andrea J. Book and bail was set at $250,000.

As in all criminal cases, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
