On December 13th in memory of our grandmother, Team Mimi will partner with Schwarzwald Lutheran Church and the Exeter Area Food Pantry in Reading for their “big holiday give” where families can find toys, books, and apparel for their children. The Exeter Food Pantry serves between 150 and 180 families each month and at least half of those families have children in their homes. Team Mimi is responsible for providing books and it is our goal to give at least two new books to every child, as well as provide a large selection of very gently used books for families to choose from.
PLEASE HELP US REACH THIS GOAL BY PURCHASING NEW BOOKS FROM OUR HOLIDAY GIVE WISH LIST ON AMAZON! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/22X3USPY9O8CZ?ref_=wl_share
Your support means so much to us and the community as we work to ensure all kids will have gifts under their tree this year!

It is so important to help children explore books to help them find their passion and love of books. Once they find a book or series of books that they enjoy they won’t want to stop reading. ❤️

Did you know...
Children that grow up within homes containing no books are on average three years behind their peers academically? Books in the home are one of the main indicators of academic success, even surpassing income and parent's education level.
Did you also know that 61% of the U.S.'s low-income children are growing up in homes without books. There is a direct link between poverty and academic success.
Team Mimi appreciates all who have donated thus far and helping our cause to spread literacy to all families and breaking the link between poverty and academic success. ❤️❤️
If you are interested in donating any new or gently used books contact us for further information!

Thank you to all who participated in our Usborne Book Party! We had $623 worth of sales, which means we received over $250 to go towards purchasing books for our December Book Drive! We have also had a TON of gently used books being donated as well! This mean we will be able to serve so many families and continuing to fill many households with literacy! This amazing community effort to raise money and receive donated books means a lot to us. So a BIG thank you to everyone from Team Mimi! ❤️
If anyone is still interested in purchasing a book through Samantha Stunz’s Usborne Book Party, you still have some time left! Party will end tonight! Don’t forget when you purchase a book proceeds will go towards or December Book Drive for the Exeter Food Pantry!
