Save Hopewell

sold to Shuman Hopewell was originally Second Reformed Church, a church plant out of First Reformed Church in 1898.

The beautiful Hopewell Mennonite Church building will be demolished unless funds can be raised to secure it's walls and prevent them from pushing out into collapse. One of the influential members of the church at that time was the president of the Reading Railroad, who commissioned many of the beautiful stained glass windows to made in Munich, Germany and imported. May we recognize God has a design so that everyone has the opportunity to win the race we call life. In the fall of 1859 it became clear that the Second Reformed Church must fail, notwithstanding all the sacrifices made in its behalf, unless aid from the outside could be secured. With anxious hearts the people now as a last resort applied for aid from the synod. to know more about what happened read the History of the Reformed Church.
