Due to construction and road closures, stops between Upland Avenue and Jackson Street and New Holland Road and Harding Avenue will not be served at this time.

Riders may use the following alternate stops:

• New Holland Road & Harding Avenue

BARTA will operate regular service on Juneteenth, Friday, June 19, 2026.

Attention BARTA Customers!

With the Independence Day holiday being on a Saturday this year, our service schedule looks a little different.

Friday, July 3, 2026 will operate on a Saturday schedule. Regular service will resume on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Route 16 – Broadcasting Square Highlight of the Week! 🚌

This route travels to West Reading, Knitting Mills, Paper Mill Road, Reading Health Rehab Hospital, Broadcasting Square, Penn State Berks, VA Outpatient Clinic, and a late night trip to R.M. Palmer Co.

BARTA will hold a public hearing regarding the BARTA Special Services shared-ride fare increase scheduled to take effect on August 1, 2026.

📢 Shared-Ride Fare Increase Notice

Beginning August 1, 2026, a new fare increase will take effect for BARTA Special Services shared-ride service.

Current fares will remain in effect through Friday, July 31, 2026. We encourage customers to review the updated fare schedule before the changes take effect.
