It is with profound sadness that the Reading Area Fire Museum announces the passing of our beloved President and valued Board Member, William H. Rehr III was a passionate leader, dedicated advocate, and tireless champion for preserving and sharing the rich history of firefighting in our community. His vision, commitment, and countless contributions helped make the museum a treasured resource for generations. We extend our deepest condolences to Bill’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The fire service and museum community have lost a truly remarkable individual. Funeral and memorial service details will be shared as they become available.

Box 102: the 300-block of N 14th Street. Car 8 arrived to find fire showing from the old Hillside Swim Club, a one story commercial structure. Engine 1 stretched and operated one line. C platoon working.

Engine 1 was assigned 3rd due on Box 902 in the 1600-block of Palm Street. Engine 1 stretched and operated one line. The fire ultimately went 2 alarms. C platoon working.
