This project has meant so much to me and to so many who’ve participated over the years.

At this time, Stranger Sessions is on pause while I focus on other creative and personal projects. I still receive applications and messages, and I appreciate every one of them more than you know.

When and if this project returns, it will be shared here first.

❗️So... I feel it may be time to talk about why I haven't done a Stranger Session yet. 😁🫣❣️
I get asked about it all the time, and I do have a lot of applicants. Life is different now and I have been thinking about it. My main thing is the matching. This all started with two singles who were strangers and wanted to do a fun photography CHALLENGE. Since then, I have added in what people are attracted to in another person. But I feel it's been too focused on finding someone a partner rather than having a fun photoshoot. There are only so many big-muscle men with tats/ beards and so many "Barbie dolls" walking around! 😂 I wanted to focus more on the inner self as well. Now, mind you, not everyone who signed up is only looking for looks. And I completely understand being afraid who might be the partner, but I have matched people who are still together, married etc. But I feel the fun of getting surprised by someone you may never think is the best part! So going forward I am going to keep in mind that this is a fun challenge with two people who are adventurous and want a fun memory! 📸 Hoping that clears up some questions. 😘😘

📣Hello Stranger Session Applicants/Followers! I have made just a few changes. See below..

1) The Strangers must be available on the date I choose, which will be specified. I'll have to go on to the next couple if not. Makes it easier for all involved.

2) The application you submitted will be kept for a year. I will regularly ask about your current relationship status to make sure you are still interested and single. ;)

3) I wanted to be clear that kissing is NOT required. I've worked with couples who were comfortable embracing and other physical contact but didn't want to do that.

4) I'll keep arranging Zoom interviews before choosing as an extra step to get the match right.

5) I've been asked to assist those who are older. Please don't hesitate to register as well! 40 and up club needs love too!

6) Should you be selected, the application cost is applied towards the date! The photo shoot is on me.

7) I will no longer tag the Strangers in my posts. If the Strangers want to comment and share they are more than welcome to do so. Not all Strangers want to get a bunch of friend requests. Which I will respect their wishes. I will say their first names and how the photoshoot went.

8) I'm going to concentrate on less complicated, and more regulated photo shoots. Despite my love for doing themed shoots, going back to the basics always produced better results.

Let's talk about Stranger Sessions! 😆😉
I started doing this back in 2020..many setups and a lot of fun! I took a chance and wanted to try something new and it turned into an amazing ride. (Maybe a few bumps on the road 😉) Very grateful for the doors this shoot has opened up for me. I still get stopped by people I don't know saying how much they love the shoots! Funniest encounter was in the ladies room of a Target 😆 But I keep asking myself...is this something people still enjoy or is it something I still want to do? And the answer is always YES I LOVE DOING THIS! I still get applicants and have so many ideas, but it takes alot of work. So I have prayed about this for a while and I am going to revamp it for 2024. I will look into hiring a camera man, editor, makeup artist, contact businesses to collaborate with, etc. If and when I feel it's time to let this go, then I will do it with pride. The fact I can possibly bring people together, and continue to challenge my photography skills is still in my heart to do. So for all those who applied thank you ❤️

Today 3 years ago, my FIRST Stranger Session took place! Never thought it would of turned into what it did. Met some amazing people. This shoot openned up MANY doors for me. I continue to do them because of how much fun they are!

I appreciate all who help out at the shoots and all who apply. 🌹❤️🙏 And on that note, the October Strangers have been matched! 🎃
