The Raynham Lions Club proudly continued a cherished tradition of compassion and community service this past weekend. On Friday, club members came together to purchase and prepare 150 carnations, each carefully tied with a ribbon and tag wishing the recipients a Happy Father’s Day.
The following day, members personally delivered the flowers to the great men residing at All American Assisted Living and Raynham Lifecare, spreading smiles, kindness, and heartfelt appreciation throughout the community.
For the Lions, seeing the joy and happiness on the faces of the residents was the greatest reward of all. Acts of kindness like these reflect the true spirit of the club — neighbors helping neighbors and finding fulfillment in giving back to others.
Our motto is We Serve.

The Handicap ramp decking is complete !
A hardworking group of Raynham Lions met this morning to complete the 3rd phase of the ramp repair at the Historic King Philip Hall in Raynham. All new decking and and strengthening the sub structure. It’s now much safer and secure than it was before. A good number of workers stopped by to offer help. From hauling lumber, ripping up the old flooring, cutting lumber stacking scrap wood to screwing the new boards in place. Everyone had a task. A very Special Thanks to Home Depot in Taunton for the generous grant that provided the decking and screws. And to the Lions that showed up to do what ever was required of them. Mike Freitas, Gerry Levesque, Quentin Jarvis, Ken Ohlson, Bennie DeBrum, Cara Kuzmiski, Dee Augusto, Jimmy Burns, Glenn Heywood and Steve Howe. The Lions Pride was in full force today.
Several more phases to go. Replacement of upper decking is next. And if we can find funding we plan on also replacing the railings and stairs. Hint, Hint to any philanthropists out there.

That's a wrap for the summer !
Or rather, our First Saturday of the Month Country Breakfasts are taking a summer break and will return on September 5th. The kitchen gets a little too warm during the summer months, and as everyone knows, Lions have thick coats and plenty of hair—not exactly ideal for cooking in the heat!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the season. These breakfasts are about so much more than great food—they're about friendship, laughter, conversation, and bringing our community together. We truly enjoyed seeing familiar faces each month and sharing so many fun mornings with all of you. We will miss you over the summer and look forward to welcoming you back in September.
A very special thank you goes out to all of our Raynham Lions who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make each breakfast a success. From planning menus, purchasing food, and preparing items ahead of time, to setting up tables and service areas on Friday evenings, to our dedicated cooks working in a hot kitchen, and the volunteers who greeted guests, took orders, delivered meals, and handled the enormous cleanup afterward—every person played an important role.
These breakfasts don't happen by magic. They happen because of teamwork, dedication, and community spirit. It truly takes a Lion Pride to make it all come together, and we are grateful for every volunteer who helped create such enjoyable mornings for our guests.
Thank you all for another wonderful season. Have a safe and happy summer, and we'll see you in September!
