๐ Biodiversity was the theme of today's STEM Saturday! ๐ฟ
Our young scientists created bug hotels, bird feeders, and bug vacuums to attract and safely observe different species of insects and birds. ๐
They'll use their creations to study, identify, and tally the species they discover at home.
A big thank you to members of our all girls FTC team who volunteered today and helped make today's STEM Saturday a success!

Our FTC teams were able to take a tour of the Port of Coeymans today and see real world applications of engineering and technology. We watched the Mackenzie Rose Tugboat be lowered into the water by the Travel Lift and the kids even had a chance to try out the controls! Huge thanks to Kimberly Bubeck, Josh Kowalski, Sydney Kane and the folks at Carver Companies for providing this opportunity for our Ravena Innovation Station students!

The Innovation Station had it's first 3D Open Print Night on Tuesday night where students got hands-on experience with 3D printing after a brief introduction to how 3D printers work.
A huge THANK YOU to our 3D printing guru, Jeff Zemsky, for leading the event and sharing his expertise, and to John Robertson from our FTC team for lending a helping hand! We're incredibly grateful to Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region for their support securing funding for additional 3D printers at the Innovation Station enabling us to provide this opportunity to our community completely free of charge.
