Available for adoption - Basil π±
Basil is a sweet, playful puppy with a confident, adventurous spirit and a love for both people and fun. She enjoys outdoor adventures, interactive play, and being part of whatever is happening around her. While she can be a little cautious about being picked up, Basil generally seeks out human companionship and is becoming more comfortable with handling every day.
Basil loves playing tug-of-war, digging in the yard, exploring outdoors, and engaging with both people and other dogs. She is also an enthusiastic chewer who believes almost anything can be a toy if given the opportunity. Her playful personality and curiosity make her a constant source of entertainment.
She is making excellent progress with her training and daily routines. Basil does very well in a crate, settles nicely in a larger pen setup, and has learned mealtime routines quickly. She is learning to come when called, working on basic commands like "sit," and displays impressive food manners by patiently waiting during feeding time.
Food is one of Basil's favorite things, and her strong food motivation makes training especially rewarding. She is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement.
As with many puppies, Basil will need continued supervision as she grows. She is a determined chewer who tends to prefer medium to harder objects and often chooses items larger than typical puppy toys. Shoes, cords, and other household items should be kept out of reach. While she redirects well to appropriate chew toys, she can be surprisingly sneaky when left to her own devices.
Compared to Clover, Basil is generally a bit calmer, though she still enjoys plenty of playtime and activity. She can be slightly hesitant about being picked up but typically accepts handling without much fuss.
Basil is making progress with potty training. While she is a little slower to generalize potty habits throughout the house, she is nearly potty pad trained within her pen and continues to improve with consistency and routine.
Ideal Home π
Basil would thrive with a family committed to providing appropriate chew outlets, enrichment activities, and continued training. She is a smart, trainable puppy who enjoys being involved in daily life. A home that balances activity, structure, and plenty of opportunities for learning will help her grow into an amazing companion.

πππAvailable for adoption - Clover πππ
Clover is a joyful, hilarious puppy with a big-dog personality packed into a small body. Full of curiosity and adventure, she loves exploring the outdoors, discovering new things, and keeping everyone around her entertained. While naturally more timid with people than her brother Basil, Clover forms deep bonds with those she trusts and is becoming more confident every day. Her expressive personality and playful antics keep her foster family laughing.
Cloverβs favorite activities include running and playing outside, wrestling with other dogs, zooming around the yard, digging, exploring, and following her favorite canine friends wherever they go. She also enjoys quieter moments, especially morning cuddles and naps with her people.
She is making wonderful progress in her training. Clover is learning to come when called, working on basic commands such as "sit," and doing very well with potty training. Through positive experiences, routine, and gentle encouragement, she continues to grow more comfortable with people and handling.
Unlike Basil, Clover is not highly food motivated, but she does get excited for special high-value treats. She thrives with patience and understanding, preferring to approach new people on her own terms rather than being forced into interactions. While she is becoming more comfortable being picked up, she may still tense up at times. Crate training has been a bit more challenging for her, and she may bark before settling down. Like many puppies, she does best when she receives plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
Clover has also discovered just how much fun it is to jump onto furniture and has proven to be far more athletic than anyone expected. She may experience some separation anxiety, particularly when separated from Basil or other dogs she has bonded with.
One thing is certain: Clover absolutely adores other dogs. She especially loves larger dogs and often follows them around with pure puppy admiration. Because of this, she would strongly benefit from having another friendly, playful dog in her adoptive home.
Ideal Home π
Clover would thrive with a patient family that understands shy dogs and is willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. A home with another friendly dog would be especially beneficial. She is happiest when she has opportunities for outdoor adventures, canine companionship, exploration, and plenty of love.

πππΆ Farm Dog Adoption Alert! πππΆ
Smokey was carried through our barn doors in desperate need of care. He had suffered multiple severe pelvic fractures, and his prognosis was extremely guarded. Due to the extent of his injuries and medical needs, he had been placed on the shelter's euthanasia list. But the moment we saw his sweet face, we knew he deserved a second chance.
For more than five months, his devoted foster, Rhonda, provided around-the-clock care. She carried him outside for potty breaks and back into the house, ensuring he had everything he needed to heal. Although Smokey never fully recovered from his injuries, his determination and spirit helped him make remarkable progress. When he was finally ready for adoption, who could resist that sweet face?
Not Ruth and Mark, who had recently lost their senior dog. The match was perfect. They shared that Smokey fit seamlessly into their family, loves his walks and car rides, and is an excellent companion. They even gave him a new name, Bear, because he reminds them of a lovable little bear.
We couldn't be happier for Bear and his wonderful new family. Stories like his remind us why every second chance matters.

ππΆπSo much to Celebrate! Farm Dog Found a home!!! Yay for Bridie! πππΆ
Birdie was found as a stray with six newborn puppies depending on her. When SCRAPS asked if Furry Farm went to work on securing safe foster space for her and the troops. Barbara is One by one, all of her puppies found loving homes, while Birdie patiently waited for her own forever family.
For 10 long months, she was overlooked. Her timid nature often made people pass her by, even though she was one of the sweetest dogs and deeply devoted to her foster. Beneath her fear was a loving companion just waiting for someone to give her a chance. That long wait proved to be worth every day.
Lonna had been following Birdie's story online for six weeks before finally submitting an application. It quickly became clear that they were the perfect match. Birdie now has a wonderful home, complete with two small canine friends she loves to cuddle with. She also happily shares, well, maybe not share, the bed with Lonna!
According to Lonna, Birdie is a true lovebug and acts as though she has always been part of the family.
Thank you, Lonna, for opening your home and your heart to our sweet Birdie. You saw beyond her fears and gave her the patience, love, and security she needed to thrive. Today, Birdie is exactly where she belongs, in a home filled with love, comfort, and the companionship she has always deserved.

πππΆ Farm Dog Adoption Alert! πππΆ
Sweet senior Cooper came through our barn doors after his owner suffered a tragic accident and could no longer care for him. Understandably, this was a big change for Cooper, but with a little time, love, and care from his foster family, he quickly settled in.
After a full dental workup with Dr. Laura, Cooper was feeling his best againβcomplete with fresh breath to match his sweet personality! Once he was medically cleared, he was ready to begin the search for his forever home.
Lauri had been hoping to find a smaller canine companion since losing her beloved Beagle to old age. Missing the comfort and companionship only a dog can provide, she had been keeping a close eye on our adoptable dogs. The moment she saw Cooper, she submitted an application right away.
Their meet-and-greet couldn't have gone better. Cooper immediately seemed at ease, and it was clear he had found exactly where he belonged. Today, Cooper is happily spending his golden years with Lauri, enjoying cozy naps on her lap and leisurely walks around the facility.
We couldn't be happier for Cooper and Lauri. Sometimes the perfect match just takes a little time to find, and these two were absolutely meant for each other.

We pulled Scrat to safety with a plan.
Well that plan unraveled the day before he arrived. We pivoted, and Scrat, now Dilbert came to foster with me. He is now neutered, UTD and available for adoption.
But after all that buzz about saving him from euthanasia, no one has come forward wanting to adopt.
So I am going to plea with our farm family community here to help a girl out. I have a major surgery scheduled this week and I can not foster this derpy duffus past Wednesday.
Who can foster?
Does fine with other dogs, but is a derp and goes in fast and stupid. Does okay with our house kitty. Would certainly like to use the chickens for snacks and has a keen interest in the birds chirping and moving.
We have been learning the concept of heel and walking polite on a leash, but he is all legs and did I mention, a derp....
Interested in fostering Derpy Dilbert? Please drop us a foster app the thefurryfarmrescue.org

πππΆ Farm Dog Adoption Alert! πππΆ
How on earth did this little 7-pound girl survive as a stray? We'll never know, but we're certainly grateful she did.
Katie arrived at The Furry Farm Rescue with a big personality and plenty of spirit. From the moment she came through our barn doors, she stole our hearts. After receiving some much-needed TLC from her foster family and veterinary care from Dr. Laura, Katie was ready to find her forever home.
Meg and Adam were searching for a sweet companion for their Yorkie, Lucy, and Katieβnow lovingly renamed Roxiβturned out to be the perfect match. These two pups are now spending their days playing together, enjoying endless love, and being thoroughly spoiled, just as they deserve.
Thank you, Meg and Adam, for choosing adoption and giving Roxi the wonderful life she's always deserved!
