KenBo the Math Pro, founded in 2009, offers 1-on-1 math tutoring services for Middle School students.

Ken Borruso is not just a math tutor — he is a math storyteller, encouraging his students to connect mathematical theories, and relate them to real-world problem solving. An electrical engineer with a Master’s degree in Information Systems Engineering from NYU Tandon, Ken teaches students to be process-oriented, and teaches the foundational skills to empower our future STEM leaders with a deeper a

Summer . We all know Newton’s “Apple” story and how gravity works between two objects based on their total mass and distance from each other and the Gravitational constant. Anyway, since gravity is keeping our feet on the ground and apples falling, why does it have no effect on water steam or evaporation and other gasses like “Carbon Dioxide” ? Why do they not follow the same laws of gravity we are bound to?

What is the Commutative Property?

Get a running start on Middle School math / Pre-Algebra/ Algebra 1.

Enroll today!

This law simply states that with addition and multiplication of numbers, you can change the order of the numbers in the problem and it will not affect the answer. Subtraction and division are NOT commutative.

Watch “The Great Math Mystery.”This excellent 1 hour video walks future STEM viewers through centuries of math and science that every science, technology and engineering student, (especially electrical engineering students) are required to learn for their Bachelor’s diploma. If you like this kind of stuff, and want to learn how it all comes together, jump start your journey with one phone call to KenBo the Math Pro. I will introduce you to and review algebra 1.
After you learn how to solve for X, I will teach you how to apply it to the actual physics equations Newton gave us years ago that put a man on the moon in 1969.

These simple equations describe gravity, motion, and energy in the universe we live in and are used to build cars, buildings and rockets that someday, you will fly.

Maxwells equations you use every day on your cell phone and Higgs particles and string theory will have to wait until your third year of college. But rest assured, it all begins with Algebra, which is required to understand Calculus, the math that Newton was credited in co-founding to satisfy his formulas that described his observations.
Rocket Science and Chemistry are also an application of Algebra.

It all makes sense until you get into really small particles. Then
“It’s all relative. Said Albert.
Funny twist, 200 plus years later, just a century ago when your grandparents where born, after getting eveyone to believe in planetary rotation around the sun by creating formulas to predict giant objects motions and planets like Neptun, Albert Einstein added a new set theory to contradict Newton’s that we call modern physics in the 1920s (Theory of Relativity) and quantum mechanics. Only to be taken to a smaller sub-atomic particle that Higgs predicted and they found just a few years ago in 2012 by breaking atoms into smaller parts at CERN.

You see, math is used everywhere to describe what we observe and predict what might happen next and it continues to evolve even up to right this moment.

Ask Siri or Alexa. Lots of math hidden in this simple task.
Watch Jeff, Elon and Richard take their private companies to space. Coming soon- a Honey Moon in a hotel floating over earth.
Build a garden in space. Make oxygen from carbon dioxide. Change the word. No. Strike that. Change the Universe!

There is so much more math to create and explore and explain our world and only now are we creating Ai based on math predictive algorithms. We are waiting for the next great leap for mankind to happen, YOU!

Watch this movie.
Then call KenBo.
I will teach you Algebra and physics.
You will change the Universe.

This past year, for many students, education has taken a backseat to the serious challenges facing our world. As a father and an educator myself, I understand. As our students ramp up for a return to normalcy next school year, we all want to ensure every student is well-equipped to succeed.

With this goal in mind, during the summer of 2021 KenBo the Math Pro is offering a small group program: Intro-Algebra Bootcamp, to help rising 6th/7th students get a leg up on middle school mathematics.

Middle school math is the foundation of Algebra: problem-solving skills that students will rely on in high school, college, and their future careers.

The students have had enough to worry about this past year— what if math was easy? Reserve your child’s spot in our Intro-Algebra Bootcamp today by contacting Ken at 973-255-7336.

Welcome back to school !

This is going to be the year you break out from old habits and start your trek to the head of the class !

I know because I have a proven technique that is so simple that everyone can do it and you will never fall behind again !

If you use this simple technique everyday you will become a better student. People use this in business all the time and it really works.

The simple trick is to "Be prepared". That is it, just be prepared to take on the work by practicing the moves a day earlier. Lawyers use it, Doctors use it, and your favorite athlete uses it. We are all born the same way, some have natural talents, but nobody was born a Doctor or Lawyer or an Engineer. Nothing in life is free. simple or guaranteed. We all have to earn it one way or another.

There are no short cuts.

It starts with your own self respect and personal responsibility. Ever wonder how your parents got here? How their parents did it? They all worked very hard for you and now you are their legacy. It is up to you to keep moving what they started for your self and your future family to have a healthier and happier life, and to help make your home and your country the best place to live on earth.

This year, before you get on the bus, spend some time this week reading your old math home work and exams from last year while you have the time. Exercise your mind. Review your summer take home packages one more time and double check your work with friends, parents or an older brother !

This year - being prepared means more than coming to school with an I-Pad. You need to make the time today to read the next chapter before the teacher does in class. After you do the required reading and complete the homework, read ahead before she assigns the work ! Do this the first day and if you stay one lesson ahead, you will never fall behind !

It actually takes a lot of work to excel in anything you do. The secret of doing it earlier in the year is always better than at the end.

The first step is yours to take. Make the commitment to want to be a better student by staying on top of your homework, reading the next chapters, and asking for help before you take your first exams.

In middle-school, everything counts. Just like in real life, there are no do-overs. You should never have to recover from a bad round of grades. You should always do your best.

Now get started on your assignments and stay ahead of the class reading ! You will be amazed at how this simple technique can change the the odds in your favor in math and in real life !
